I just don't understand why some here want Rondo traded.

but lets be fair here Fierce, i had 1000's of arguments with you last year when you INSISTED Rondo needed to be traded, and one of your reasons was the same one people have now, to acquire a big.

    LOL....tell him, JameszHill !

Not if u ship Terry out. Doc could give Rondo, Bradley and Lee plenty of time each and the Blur being the 4th guard. He can be instant explosive, doesn't need a lot of playing time.
Shipping Terry out is out of the question.

Having Terry will pay off for the Celts in the playoffs.
U keep saying that but that doesn't make it true. If he can't get accustomed in the regular season he won't be able to turn it on in the play-offs against the best teams. I understand why Ainge got him but I never liked it. If he and Bass would be gone the others (Lee, Sully and Green) could get faster acclimated to their roles. Those two players are a burden on this team.

Terry instant offense? Haven't seen much of that this season. If u keep him none of our 3 guards are above 6'2" and Green or Pierce defending larger 2's doesn't work out so great. Besides Lee and Green need minutes to be effective. Green at 3 and a little 4. Why keep someone just because he's a big name. Barbosa can give instant offense in just a couple minutes. Bradley-Lee can be terrific defensive backcourt. Bass and Terry are expendable, maybe that's enough to get a serviceable big.

Great first half by the way. Only Jeff needs to turn it on in the 2nd.
Green has only gotten 6 minutes.  No rhythm for the poor guy.   Either Doc has him on limited minutes or Doc just can't bring himself to sit Pierce more.    Green just cannot fit in using the substitute pattern currently in play.

If we aquire a big man, one thing is for sure, one of the three is gone and I hope it's Terry.  Tattoo and all.  He has an above average shot he just needs to get going and he plays D.  Terry has an above average shot that he needs to get going and doesn't play D.

If you watched this 1st half.  It's the D that gets this offense going.  Terry is instant offense but so is Barbosa.

Bradley can play the point with Lee.  Rondo can play the point with Bradley, Lee and Barbosa.  Terry will fetch more from other teams than Lee from just his reputation.

That's true. But after Rondo's play in the playoffs last season and his improved shooting this season, it's hard not to admit that Rondo's really a great player.

And I also told you last season, many times, I'm not a Rondo hater.
Fierce, you gained monumental respect from me with this post.  Most people won't admit that they changed their minds or maybe were proven wrong.   Intellectual honesty is missing from a lot of people.   Good post, man.

that was funny, pierce had a couple tuff possesions in a row, then burries a three and just starts shaking his head.  Credit Rondo for giving him the ball at the ark, knowing he needed to reddeem himself.

last year with Avery Bradley starting the Celtics defense was playing at a level that made the starting five one of the all time great defensive units. It's why A hall of Famer like Ray was sent to the bench.

I'd like to see this lineup with Garnett instead of Collins at times

Doc should give him consistant minutes and a defined position to build his confidence. Green has to be our 4th best player if we want to be contender in the east.

Bradley is the most game changing not in the stats guy I have seen. Bradley and a big man and this team is what we thought all along.

On a side note:  the wizards chocked away an overtime lead and barely tied it to send it to double OT against the nets.

as a side note.  Demarcus Cousins has pretty much made it impossible for his team, with awful management to be traded.  30 - 20 tonight!
