Vitor can play defense?

Just because he had 3 blocks it doesn't mean he played good defense.
Just because he had 3 blocks, his opponent only scored 8 points and coach Stevens pointed out that the perimeter defenders for the Celtics were terrible allowing their guys to blow by them into the paint.

He also said prior to the game "I think you saw in our last game, Faverani was one of our better defenders, period," Stevens said. "He has ability to protect the rim... Hopefully a guy like that can make up for a few of your mistakes on the perimeter."

But I guess you know more than me and coach, why you aren't working for the C's with your vast storehouse of knowledge is beyond me.

By the way Babb is on the Maine roster, we should see him later in the season if he progresses and we clear cap space.

Favoroni , after one game , looks to be a legit Rookie Of The Year candidate

Where would Favaroni bee drafted if he was in the last NBA Draft ? Would he have gone before or after Kelly Olynyk ?

Would he have gone in the top 10 ?

Or would he have slipped into the mid-late 20's ?

Would he have even been a 1st Round pick ?

Looks like Ainge found the best undrafted big man since BEN WALLACE !

Will anyone on this board admit Ainge scored big with Favaroni ?

And does a undrafted big man find make up for drafting JuJuan Johnson , JD Giddons , Fab Melo...

    What???

3 rebounds for a starting Center?

    Vitor can play defense?

Just because he had 3 blocks it doesn't mean he played good defense.
Yep... 12 points, 18 boards (6 offensive), 1 steal, 6 blocks

That's one guy who can't play defense or rebound... LOL!!!!

The Bucks had to put two centers on the floor to match Fav because their starter Sanders was getting abused.

All we need to win a game now is to let Pressey play point guard, won't happen because they want to showcase Bradley for a trade, but we could be a 500 team if they weren't tanking.

So much for predictions Fierce, but I'll continue a few, by next season Pressey will be our back up point guard assuming Rondo is gone otherwise he'll start, Babb will be on the team as a defensive/three point shooting specialist and this year Fav will be a starter, better than Asik.

i certainly hope they aren't showcasing Bradley for a trade. They should be showcasing Lee, Crawford, Bass, Hump, and Wallace for a trade, not Bradley.

Faverani was a steal! great job by DA once again. He's got the tenacity and effort level of a Joakim Noah or Anderson Varajao, but with better offensive talent. He's plugged in at Center as far as i'm concerned.

    You made 3 predictions.

    1. Fav is a starting NBA Center.

    2. Pressey is capable of being an NBA starter.

    3. Babb will make the team.

    Guess what?

If you end up being right about Fav, you'll go 1 out of 3.

I told you Babb would not make the team and he'll be gone on opening night.

Also, I said Pressey will just be a career backup PG in the NBA.

    So far I'm 2 out of 3.

2 out of 3 trumps 1 out of 3, right?
doesn't Pressey's career have to start much less be over before that statement is proven true?

    1. Fav is a starting center

    2. Two games into his rookie campaign it's a little premature to write off Pressey on a team obviously looking to showcase its vets and make trades.

    3. Babb is in Boston's farm system, I said two days before he was cut he would likely get sent down and was a project player, you were the only one who stipulated "opening day roster" as making it.  Babb will be called up once they clear cap space.

Kris Joseph was cut by the Celtics and now doesn't have a job, that's an example of someone who got cut, there were nearly ten other guys who got cut and are now considering other careers.

Go ahead and admit you were wrong on 1.  If Babb is cut from the Red Claws, I will do the same but it's far more likely he is their best player and is called up once they clear the way for him.

But this can't be, our resident expert and soothsayer Fierce34 has said Babb is no good, absolutely won't make the team and that is the kiss of death...  then he followed it up with his patented "HAHAHA LOLOLOL" which is a sign of utter superiority and knowledge.

    Laughable.

Baab will make this team and eventually be a player because he is big, strong, plays good defense and is the best three point shooter on our team and maybe beyond.
What part of eventually don't you understand?

I also said this on the 25th of October, long before Babb was sent to Maine:

"Babb might very well be cut or sent down to the D League, he is a project player, but if he learns the intricacies on the NBA he could be a very good to great player one day, he could also make the opening day roster.  I don't claim to be the expert that you are."

    http://boston.com/community/forums/sports/celtics/on-the-front-burner/asik-vs-faverani/100/6860166?page=3

I've posted the link for you so you don't strain yourself reaching for it.

But just like Fav, if Babb gets here late in the season or catches on elsewhere and becomes a solid player you'll flip flop and say how you never said anything bad about him.

You said a lot of things, wozzy.

First you said Pressey would start for the Celts on opening night.

Then you changed your mind and said Pressey should be starting but since the Celts are showcasing players, Pressey will not start even if he should be the starter.

I simply told you Babb would not make this team.

Since when did I say Babb won't make it to the Red Claws roster?

You move the goal post every time you are proven wrong.
Never said Pressey would start opening night, I specifically said on the "starting five" thread he should start and judging by Avery Bradley's point guard play I'm absolutely correct.  Do you disagree?

I also said Babb was a "project player" and they would also go out of their way to hide the players they want to keep and showcase the players they want to trade.

I will take your bet, if Babb doesn't play a single NBA game (for any team) this season I will start a thread saying how I was wrong.  But even if I'm wrong and the Celtics don't make any roster moves until the end of this season, he will be on next years team because they will have created room for him.

Is it possible for you to answer in a single post or are you so ADD deficient you need multiple posts?

Don't raise your voice, improve your argument.

And you've repeated above post three times now without acknowledging that I said three days prior to the final team cuts that Babb might go to Maine, way to ignore what you can't dismiss... the sure sign of a mental midget.

Trying to pull a fast one again?

I specifically said Babb play one regular season game for the BOSTON CELTICS!

And you're going to move the goal post by saying Babb play a single NBA for any team?

    Nice try.

    HAHAHA
Geez you're a door knob, how is this ^ me "trying to pull a fast one," that is me trying to prevent you from your typical BS, winning arguments on semantics or on a technicality.

The crux of this back and forth is that Babb in your estimation isn't good enough to play in the NBA, I disagree and think with some refinement he can become a solid defensive specialist who shoots threes.

If the Celtics trade for an all star player and the other team insists on Babb in a multiplayer deal then the Celtics will make the trade, if Babb goes to the Warriors and becomes the player I suggest he might, you are still wrong and still the loser.  I mean if Babb can't play for the Celtics he can't play for anyone right?

You would rather win on a technicality than actually be wrong... pathetic.

I guess since you are afraid to take this bet you know somewhere inside that I could be right since you also know I've been here a lot longer than 2005 and I've been crushing pea brains for as long as this site has existed.

I heard you welsh on your bets anyway so I couldn't care less about your opinions, my only passing fancy was to show what a wannabe know it all know you are and with Fav's emergence I have.
