Could Perkins make the hall,if he went to Miami

He could be the starting center on 4 or 5 title teams.

No, he would not make the hall...but he would have to ask for a hall pass every now in then down there in South Beach

No.  Perk is not allstar talent.  Excellent defender though.

Robert Horry has more rings than Michael Jordan and he is never ever ever ever going to the hall of fame.

Perk has been carrying a lot of weight on his knees over the years and with this latest injury his value will continue to deteriorate but someone will over pay him when he becomes a free agent.

can we afford to lose perk? he's not the best center, but he's certainly starter quality. he plays good defense. he's a decent rebounder. his offense is limited. and he's got hands of stone. but what will we have at the 5 without perk? 2 oft-injured o'neals and erden? how can we not try our best to resign perk? how we'll be able to resign both perk and BBD remains to be seen...

The Celtics don't need Perk, I think their record is evidence enough of that before he came on board. The Celtics would be better off using him to bring in someone who can be valuable at that position. This isn't a rebuilding team anymore, and Perkins seems like he is as good as he is going to get. If he hasn't learned how to play consistant offense at this point in his career, he won't come, and he is highly regarded around the NBA by other teams. Package him up and go get someone who can be consistant.

He is "highly regarded" for a reason.
