Craig Carton blasting Amare all morning

Carton is a NY radio (on tv) commentator who works with Boomer Esiason..

He is just ripped Amares head off this morning for coming out of the game last night.. calling him all kinds of names and not a gamer.. Its actually pretty funny.

As Carton was going to commercial he looks into the camera and say "Amare...... you SUK!!!""

Pretty nasty stuff for a player thats put them back on the map

You can't play basketball with back spasms. It is simply impossible. This is a very unfair criticism. This is the sort of stuff you hear in New York though.

TRUST ME. I've had severe back spasms, and I could hardly get in and out of my car!! I was walking like an old man with a cane! Back spasms are nothing to play around with.

He sounds like a typical sports reporter who NEVER played a sport in his life, downing professional athletes.

Re: Craig Carton blasting Amare all morning

Lets look at the situation from a logical perspective.  If I'm dantoni, and I'm already down one of my big 3 and amare isn't 100%, I'm going to figure my chances of winning a road game in boston are minimal.  I'd rather not risk amare getting worse.  Better to "drop back and punt" and try to get healthy for games 3 and 4 at home.  If amare goes down permanently (despite the knicks valiant effort last night) their chances are zero.

This is why many high priced free agents are signing elsewhere. Ny eats is young. Boston is getting that way too. Amare is a tough player he would have been out there. It reminded me of Bird last night getting a meesage on the floor in front of the bench.

I agree on the previous comment that NY had to save it for their home games.   And they still made it close ....

But close don' get it done :)

A know-nothing who is willing to share what he doesn't know with anyone who'll listen.  AS must have been in agony not to play - he's not a guy that'll come out for a broken fingernail.  My hope for him is that he only has back spasms and not an underlying structural problem.  It would be sad if his career is affected by spine problems.
