    C's on St. Patrick's Day

Is there a reason why the Celtics never play at home, on St. Patrick's Day?

Would seem fitting to me.  In recent memory over the last few years (especially during the new Big 3 era) the Celtics never seem to play on St. Pat's Day. It's usually the day or two before and they play a road game (except this year they played at home last night).  Just wondering if anyone else ever thought of this.  Would seem like a no-brainer for the league, yet typically Chicago will play in those terrible green Jerseys or the Knicks.

    Thoughts?

I don't know the reason, but I have to share one of my most memorable moments at the Garden.  It was St. Patrick's day, 1963, Bob Cousy's retirement game.  Cousy at the mic, pausing a moment as tears flowed, a fan yelling out from the rafters, "We love ya, Cooz," and the Garden erupting.  Just one of the all time great moments for this C's fan.
