AB is scoring because he is a volume shooter. He is a shot happy SG who plays a very selfish style of basketball. He does not make his teammate better. It is crazy to pay so much for such player no matter how old he is. A very irratic player that no one knows what one will get from game to game.
That's why he's a SHOOTING Guard.
He's only 23 years old, he's still going to improve.
His potential is he turns out like Joe Dumars.
Besides, AB's defense is excellent.
Ainge will have no choice because there will be no SG out there who can give you 14 ppg and great defense for 5 or 6m per year.
AB just shoots to damn much..and he's not even a good shooter..anybody who shoots as much as him should be a 14ppg player.
I am not trying to argue....just my opinion but AB started out playing out of position this year at the point or he would have been averaging more. He is 22 years old and there is not a better "on the ball defender" in the League. Rondo gets hammered on the fact that he has never improved his jumper and AB has done so this year, especially after being played at the 2 where he belongs. I sure would not overpay for him but if Stevens settles on a style where we will run on O and press at times on D, I think he will fit right in. Again, just my opinion.
i understand...but even if AB was starting at PG it still didn't do anything about his shooting...his apg was the same he never passes for a PG.
