Fierce is largely right about this, though the Suns are in a tough spot as well because it will not be easy to trade away picks and get enough assets to compete with the West's elite.

Ainge has been showing some back and forth on tanking (such as trying to trade for Asik, albeit not offering that much in return) only because he did not expect the conference (and our division in particular) to be so historically bad.

The Suns are thinking they're just 1 star player away from being the real deal.

Can we really say the Celts are just 1 star player away from being the real deal?

Also, look at the difference between Miles Plumlee and Vitor Faverani.

Some here bragged about Faverani already being a legit NBA starting Center.

Right now even Miles Plumlee is way better than Fav.

Fierce, how did that happen?  Draft or by developing players and making trades?  Len still has to suit up for the Suns this year.

I see Danny getting to work on the trade market this year and the Celts developing their own players.
The difference is that the celtics just started their rebuilding, and it takes time.Go celtics

Just as some here predict the Celtics will deviate back to the bottom the same may be true for the Suns ... they are playing over their heads and could also deviate back to where they were expected to be ... time will tell much better than paying attention to the subjective predictions of the Fungus.

We could be 1 star away if that's Kevin Love and somehow he got onto our team.
Not ever going to happen..he wants to go back home, on the west coast, somewhere in Cali...and one of the 4 teams there will make his dream come true.

difference between Suns and C's is that the Suns have more 2014 1st round picks and less bad contracts on their roster. Might have more young talent too with Bledsoe, Len, Plumlee, Goodwin and the Morris twins

Agreed...we are a few years and drafts away from being in the same discussion...

Looks like it's going to be that way.

I've been told that the Celtics should also give away draft picks like the Suns because both the Celtics and the Suns are on the same boat, so to speak.

    I disagree.

And I've been told that it's only a matter of time before the Suns crash and burn and will miss the playoffs this season.

    HAHAHA

Does it really matter what the Suns do?  I would be surprised if the Suns keep it up as well.  If they do,  good for them.

Yes, it matters what the Suns do because Mployee keeps saying that we should do what the Suns do.

You agree with what Mployee is saying?
If the Suns are staying competitive in the standings and the right trade came along,  I think they would probably trade a pick for someone.  Why wouldn't they?

Another lie .... "Mployee keeps saying?"  When was the last time I discussed that ... the first time I wrote about it on one thread?  You run from board to board like a little schoolgirl spreading your fungus and lies endlessly ... Don't you think by now that everyone here except for the few lemmings that follow you over every cliff you jump from have you figured out by now. You can spin, lie and deceive all you want now cuz nobody else is gonna become one of your brainless lemming followers. We all know your followers by name ... there's about 4-8 of them ... keep up the manic mental manipulations and eventually you'll lose a few of them so you better be careful cuz your crazy side is showing as Rame indicated ....  MELO,   HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: In case you haven't figured this out yet too, the HAHAHA's are mocking you, Get It?

No I don't ... The Suns are not a legit playoff team. They have had unexplainable success by a team that was put together by their GM to tank .... You rely on media reports and personalities as your proof but when Chad Ford says there is no reason for them to be winning other than luck and hardnose play from players that weren't expected to contribute at the levels they are right now. Key words being "right now." Ford doesn't think they can maintain their level of play. They are alot like the C's who have been winning since Crawford was installed at PG. they have taken teams most agree are much better down to the wire and even won a few ... They are not much different at all from the C's especially once Rondo gets back.

Do the Suns have a $10MM TPE ... Is it possible for Danny to flip a player or two and end up with another 1st round pick?

Despite what Fungus says, there are plenty of smart people that don't think the Suns are for real. We shall see.
So the Suns are not a legit playoff team?

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Too soon to tell .... Smarter people than you or I think they are a fluke. If you think they are for real then predict how many games they win and how far they get in the playoffs. I'll wish them luck but defer to the smart guys who say they are playing over their heads right now. Can they sustain it, avoid injuries to key personnel like Plumlee who hasn't yet played a full NBA season?  I'll leave the predicting to the LOSERS like yourself.

Eric Bledsoe Requires Surgery, Out Indefinitely January 9 at 3:22pm CST By Luke Adams

Eric Bledsoe requires a surgical procedure to repair cartilage in his right knee, and will be out indefinitely, reports ESPN.com’s Marc Stein. According to Stein, Bledsoe is suspected to have meniscus damage, though the exact scope and severity of his injury isn’t yet known.

If Bledsoe misses a significant amount of time, it could have a major impact on both his future and his team’s future. The Suns were rumored to be buyers leading up to the trade deadline, with multiple reports suggesting the team was willing to give up draft picks to land an impact player. However, even with a 21-13 record, Phoenix will likely become more reluctant to improve its roster in the short term if Bledsoe won’t be around to help the club contend.

Back to earth as expected. 5-5 over last ten games. Too bad it was an injury but it goes to show you how dependent the Suns were on one or two players ... Plumlee & Bledsoe .... for their success.

If Rondo were ready to go Danny could make a sweet deal!!!

Last I checked, the Suns are still a playoff team.
