Doc needs to get it together

I know we won, but without 40 from PP that was another loss to a varajou-less team. All 1st and 2nd year players for the most part. Not gonna go far with that.

Why is rondo still going for steals and not playing defense with his feet. Why do we keep ignoring the one guy who can do work in the post in Sully who kept getting good position to be ignored in favor of turnovers and bad shots. Why is Barbosa a set shooter now when we know his best game is to drive off pick n rolls? Why is Collins a starting Center? Where has J.Green gone? Im done with the C's for a while till they get right or trade someone to get better. This is ugly b-ball. I thnk we were dooped as fans and told we would compete but looks like a scam to sell tickets. Doc needs to go for 5/mill year if this is his plans...

This is Docs tune most seasons.. we're trying new lineups, new combinations.. Why is it so hard for Doc to figure it out?

Heck, he had Green in a good spot preseason, then it all changed .. why try combos...find out something works, then change it anyway?

Ditto with barbosa..came off the street and gave us a big lift.. good stuff. Docs reaction, bench the guy most games.

But Rondo wont/cant play straight up defense but Doc sticks to that. Thats ok cause its his protege and sensitive PG.. dont wanna rock the boat with Rajon.. he'll pout and not give it his all for weeks like he did when Perk was traded.

My problem with Rondo is Ive seen the difference in our defense and overall team chemistry when he is out. IMO, from being a ball player for years that still plays you will only go as hard as your teamates so if they are gonna proclaim Rondo is the leader then they will follow his lead of not playing defense. Whenever he is out, we play much harder and play more together as a team. So yea Rondo can keep getting assists and all but if his ole defense is causing a trickle down effect our Emphasis on D is basically not gonna show. At this point, just trade him and let us see what we can do with A.B., Terry, Barbosa. Trade Rondo, Lee AND Green since Doc wont play him anyway. Im sure we could get back enough to do some damage this year but currently this is a .500 team at best.

Rondo has become bigger than the team.

Look at his jersey sales... off the charts.

How do you dare trade that brand?

On 2nd thought, how do you dare not?

The Rondo-firsters will say.... "R9R isn't the problem! He's the best player on the team!"

Well, Doc was on espn LA this morning saying how good Rondo's D is and that he is even better this year than previous years.

Doc is under Rondos thumb... everyone with eyes and basketball sense can see how lame his on ball defense is... and its due to lack of effort and determination imo.

Doc lost all credibility on this topic..  he should just cut to the chase and be Rondo's valet instead of coach...

On defense Kylie Irving drove by him like his feet were nailed down.  What is Doc talking about?  Rondo is shooting much better this year, his defense has been very poor.

So if someone pisses on me, its ok as long as they say its just raining??  I dont know what kind of mind games he is playing or whatever but I have 2 very good eyes and up until this point  Ive never thought of him as being worse than any other pg but last night I saw it. The Constant jabbing and reaching for the ball leading to him being BEHIND his man. My problem is why is he trying to steal the ball from K.Irving. A premiere up and coming pg who knows how to handle??  Thats the 1st thing they teach you, not to reach unless its front of you. If he wants to strip a Big handling the ball, fine,  but stop reaching in. Thats Lazy Defense. Just move your feet. I should know. I coach 4th graders and I cant get my son to do it. He can score his azz off, but is lazy and always going for steals and it costs us points. BAd Habit!
