Re: Durant or Harden for scoring title?

Let's wait more than 1 game before seeing if a career 6th man 15ppg scorer is going to be going neck for neck with Durant.

and of course OKC 100% did not 'do what they had to do'. If money was really an issue (it shouldn't have had to be since the profits they made the last 3 years could cover the losses they might have '14-'17) then OKC could just wait until this summer to deal with it all and not break apart a title contender.

If you win it all then you can part with Harden more easily as you won't get blamed for NEVER winning BECAUSE you traded him. If you lose, 2 years in a row, you are better able to justify shaking hings up. They could match any offer as he was restricted... and they could amnesty Perk or trade Ibaka for a similar package of talent they just traded Harden for, with Durant, Collison and PJIII all able to play PF.

So nah, not buying that Harden is a scoring title guy (yet) and of course OKC didn't 'have to' do anything. but this is def an improvement of a post from you CC. No racism, perv comments or gossip magazine/pop culture references.

'straight sports homey'? who are you Randy Moss?

When the posts you make talk about basketball or football and are relevant I take no issue with it, it is about 50-50, not 80%. See even in the above posts you try to talk like you are black and from the streets, just doesn't make me want to take you seriously.

When your posts support Sundusky, are racist towards the way a person like Magic Johnson speaks (so hypocritical considering the way YOU speak), include lots of lame references to pop culture b/c you (wrongly) think you are 'hip' and funny or whenever you discuss politics or make dirty sexual comments about actresses or other famous women.... I and most people here dislike your posts.

Wow go figure that people on sports forum's rarely care for attention seekers who type in ALL CAPS and repeatedly bring up the above inappropriate things while 'talking' in poor english and typing these rambling novels for a response.

Re: Durant or Harden for scoring title?

As for Harden you again show you don't know the situation

He could NOT 'hit free agency' for that 5th year.... only the team he is on can give him 5 years... free agents that sign with other teams get a max of 4 years... that is to benefit players staying with the teams they are on/drafted them. Yeesh.

If OKC wasn't offering the 5th year, when they could have been, then yes Harden should have been annoyed by that.

OKC got a great deal for him true, but it would have been better if they were in the position they were 2-3 years ago where they needed to leapfrog 2-3 teams and had to have a deeper/better bench and some more draft picks/$ in order to do that and set up a future run.

They were done planning for 'future' runs. The future was now. When you improve incrementally 4 years in a row with a cast of guys all under 25, you don't trade the best player in the deal b/c you can't afford a 5th year or 1m more a year. When you just made it to the finals and need to keep that chemistry and core together you don't break it apart until you have failed more than just the ONE time you got there.

Agree with you.  It is definitely too early in the season to evaluate Harden's offensive ability.  It was just his first game as a starter.

I admit that you have been pretty clean lately, I will not mention your past  lack of good judgement and inappropriate comments of the past anymore as long as you stick to 'straight points'/ March to the beta of your own drum all you want, ut you better not be implying that you will be bringing the dirty trash posts back eventually.... nobody wants that.

Most of the time you do post things simply for attention, Harden's trade situation was talked about in a monster thread earlier this week... there was no need to claim he would be scoring champ (after one game) in a new thread just so you could put in your two cents about the man and the trade.

OKC did do better by Harden then Orlando did by Dwight, which is pathetic and shows just how eager the league was to get him to LA... but OKC did not do the best thng for its current title chances and so if they never win one it will be hard for the fans to evr forgive and accept this move. Phoenix blew multiple chances '05-'09 and what ownership did to those teams was inexcusable.
