Dwight Howard is Afraid of Following a Legacy
posted at 7/18/2012 4:57 PM EDTDwight keeps crying about wanting to play in Brooklyn and no other place. Why? Because he's afraid of following in the footsteps of previous centers. That's his excuse for not wanting to play for the Lakers. I suspect he would also avoid Boston because of Bill Russell. Talk about cowardly?
The reports are that the Lakers are making an effert to acquire Howard. I for one hope that the trade does not go through. You would think players in the league would embrace going to a franchise that has a tradition, a track-record of success.
Imagine a "top-tear" player not wanting to go to Chicago because MJ played there. This guy is weak. He should stay in Orlando where there is no history, no banners.
