Celtics New Line-up:
Celtics gets: Monta Ellis, Paul Milsap, Marcin Gortat, Larry Sanders
Utah gets: Paul Pierce, Brandon Jennings
Pheonix gets:Mo Williams, Fab Melo, Jason Collins
Milwaukee gets: Rajon Rondo, Courtney Lee, Chris Wilcox
& Trade picks as appropriate
Assumptions: Boston is willing to trade Rondo & Pierce, Milwaukee wants long term contracts in exchange for Eliis & Jennings upcomming FA. Gortat wants out of Pheonix and they want a prospect Center, Utah expects to lose Milsap and wants a PG & SG in return.
Rationale: There's a split between our Culture and Rondo, Rondo as good of a point guard as he is does too much ball handling controlling the assists and its hurting the overall ball movement and flow of the offense, with that also hurting his defensive effort. Ellis can handle the ball, score, stretch the floor and defend paired with Bradley. Terry and Barbosa as scorers off the bench. Trading Pierce gives Green a lot of minutes and a starting role again. He is short handed, so I suggest we play Brandon at the 3 for a few minutes a game, possibly Joseph. We Upgrade Wilcox and Collins with Gortat and Millsap. Which gives us a HUGE rebounding force, shot blocking, and we upgrade our in-the-paint offense. There are many possible frontcourt combination with this group, but I may pair KG&Sullinger, Milsap&Gortat because I think Milsap may be the key behind the continuity of our defenseive grit. I also give us Larry Sanders who can be a future piece for us when KG retires. This gives us a re-vamped, dangerous team. Once Bass is tradeable - we can use him to add to the SF position.
