For Celtics to have any chance of winning championship this year...

They must get involved in a 3 team trade in which Celts get Chris Paul and Grant Hill from Clippers for Rondo, Green and future picks plus a trade with the Suns for Shannon Brown and Gortat for Bass, Lee and Fab Melo plus future picks. That's my two cents. Comments appreciated.

Absolutely correct but even Ainge must have realized by now that this year is our last legitimate chance to win a championship. Its risky, very risky,  but Rondo has two more years guaranteed yet Paul has none which is attractive to the Clippers. Suns are rebuilding so prospects and picks is what they are looking for. With my trade we will get a scoring PG and a rebounding center, the 2 missing pieces in our team. Lets hope that he who brought Garnett and Allen can amend the mistakes done with some of these summer signings.

Reeko-I didn't know Rain man had any rings. Multiple ones in fact(as a player and a GM). He must have gotten them counting cards. I suspect the only rings you've acquired are the ones that require medication...

For Cs to have a chance for #18 this season, R9R has to turn into a 20/10 guy who gets serious about taking on the burden/responsibility for leading this team night in and night out, giving his max performance  for 4 quarters, every game and making whatever sacrifices are needed for his team to win.

    Team before personal stats.

    That's what  leaders do.

It will take more than a 20/10 from Rondo.   More like a 20/10/10 and he'll need to block a couple shots around the rim. every game   Rondo not the problem it's rebounds and interior defence especialy with Garnetts reduced minutes.   You guys ever watch any Celtic games? . Guess not.

    [/QUOTE]

Bingo.  Rondo is not the problem.  It is frontline.  Bradley returning makes our backcourt problems even less of an issue.

AB's return gives us an unknown... hes been out a long time and coming back from shoulder surgery..  His effectiveness a complete unknown to us.

and AB's return doesnt help us with Rondos guy having a free pass into our lane all night long.

We're bad enough on the boards but dribble penetration takes our bigs away from the backboard to cover up for Rondos freelance, 1 steal is better for my stats than giving up 4 layups to KGs guy, defense

    Its leadership.  Its unselfish play.

Its R9R's team. As he goes.... or doesn't go, so goes the team.

The talent is there.  They need his spark to play over their heads.

Bringing in different  talent  is like rearranging deck chairs on a ship needing a rudder.
