I was thinking about Afflalo or Turner actually ...

Both are hybrid 2/3.  Turner may get a larger contract but really like to play point forward.  Affalo is uni-dimensional.

Thats what I like about them ... and Hayward can play the 2 as well though he's more suited for the 3

Afflalo is under contract until 2016.

    Turner's qualifying offer is 8.7m.

And hedley already confirmed Hayward is asking for 12m per year.

They might just work with Rondo.  Otherwise you need creativity from 2 as well.  Trying Jeff Green at 2 was very unsuccessful.  Golden State struggles when they bring in Barnes at 2.  I would prefer a qualiy 2.

I agree that Hayward will be a much better addition at that price.  My problem is, how do the Celts get him at that price.  Utah will just keep him.

    Bingo!

Hayward would've been locked up by the Jazz before the season started if he was only asking for 10m or less.

Mployee always thinks his fantasy world trumps reality.

There's a reason why Hayward and the Jazz didn't reach an agreement before the season started.

If you want a SG below 8m per year then the best available are Nick Young and Jodie Meeks.

And stop talking about Afflalo because he's under contract until 2016.

$7.5MM thru 2016 but that 2015-16' option is a "player option" and he'd probably opt out then if he becomes an All-Star. I think Danny'd give up "a" pick for a potential All-Star if he were able to swing a bigger deal like Okafor/Bledsoe.

Stein says, "rival clubs" wonder if Orlando will maintain that stance with regard to its leading scorer and most productive player. The key question for Magic general manager Rob Hennigan, according to the ESPN scribe, is as follows: "Has Afflalo played well enough, in this breakout half-season, that the Magic will eventually be offered a first-round pick closer to the deadline that can pry Afflalo loose?" This report, which Stein posted early Saturday morning, confirms a similar one that Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports filed on December 23rd.

I think Bass is a keeper. I know I'm in the minority on that, but Bass has really improved this year. He is just so valuable on defense. He can switch onto any player. His post offense has really improved. I think he's on a fair contract at 6.5M.

This team just needs to replace Green with someone who can knock down shots and play aggressively. I still think that could be Hayward.

    [/QUOTE]

Bass has the worst on court plus and minus on the team.

He only plays hard against the team that traded him.

Nice try moving the goal post, but we're talking about 2014 not 2015.

The issue here whether to keep AB or not.

You said replace AB with Evan Turner or Gordon Hayward.

But both Turner and Hayward would cost more than 8m per year.

So the smart money is still on AB.

    Here:

    http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7374174/arron-afflalo-signs-denver-nuggets-expected-practice-wednesday

Sources told ESPN.com's Marc Stein that the five-year deal, with bonuses, would pay out in excess of $43 million to Afflalo, who was coveted by numerous top teams that generally presumed that the Nuggets would match any offer sheet to the 26-year-old.

Just because Afflalo has a player option it doesn't mean he'll opt out.

You're just speculating that he will opt out.

Read that ESPN report because that report clearly stated Afflalo signed a 5-year deal in 2011.

    2011 + 5 = 2016

You're not Afflalo's agent, so don't give us that crap that he will opt out in 2015.
