    Greg Oden

SI reports that Greg Oden recently had arthroscopic surgery to remove "debris" from his right knee. Though the surgery was successful, he remains out indefnitely. Also, the Blazers have re-structured their agreement with Oden such that he gets $1.5M for this year instead of $8.9M, and he becomes an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season

I hope Danny Ainge is keeping tabs on the Oden situation. Oden can be a nice pick-up for a rebuilding Celtics team next year if his rehabilitateion goes well.

    Re: Greg Oden

Oden was done before he ever really got started. Its sad for the kid, but true.
For a big man, once you have these kind of severe injury issues, its a one-way track.

    Re: Greg Oden

I don't see him ever being more than a backup, playing a few minutes here and there. His knees won't stand up to starter's minutes over a full season, ever. If you can get him cheap, as a backup, defensive specialist, maybe.  Otherwise, it will be like, Shaq II.
