Re: How many dunks by Jordan if we still had a healthy Perk?

Might have gotten all 7 although I don't remember how he got 2 of them.  But he would have still gotten the 5 dunks that I can remember whether or not Perk was in Green.

1 -- Krstic came over to challenge Kaman and Jordan got an easy put-back dunk between Green and Murphy.
2 -- Foye got around Ray easily, Krstic stepped up and Foye alley-ooped to Jordan for an easy dunk.
3 -- Bledsoe saved the ball from going out of bounds directly to Jordan for easy dunk.
4 -- Krstic backed off to let Rondo go thru on an inbounds play and the ball was quickly inbounded to Jordan for the dunk.
5 -- Jordan took KG off the dribble early for a baseline dunk.

I forgot how he got the other 2 of his 7 dunks but I doubt very seriously if Perk would have had any effect on Jordan getting the dunks he got last night.  As well as he played, it seemed like he just happened to be in just the right place on more than a few occasions.

Come on, the first game a center (who had ZERO points on Monday) busts out for a career night should not be cause to wish Perk was back in Green.

    Does not apply

If Jordan didnt get the dunks, someone else would have or layups, whats the difference.

The problem was constant unimpeded penetration by the Clippers and constant & multiple defensive switches which led to Clippers being open ( in this case Jordan) ... coupled with one Celtic deciding not to fight through picks or pick up anyone when he should have switched off.

Does it matter?  Gotta move on and live in the present.  More relevant question:  How many points would Mo Williams have if someone on the Celtics decided to guard him?

I think it really matters to him. He already made 3 threads about it today.

Mo's departure from the Cavs may be the reason theyre having a poor season. At first I thought it was lebron but off of last nights game, clearly Mo is a superstar

How many FTs would Perk have missed if he went to the FT line 7 times against the Clips?

....or our weak defense made Mo look like a superstar!

Definitely a poor defensive effort by the Celtics last night.  What a disappointing game.

Yesterdays game was a joke. We could of had Jordan in the 2008 draft, but Danny decided for J.R. Giddens! Danny needs to seriously go after this guy this year.

It's not just that Perk might've prevented some of the dunks down low, it's that he would have committed a hard foul at some point.  He would've been hit with a flagrant, too, but one thing about Perk is that he made people think twice about romping on this team.  We lost that element when they dealt him.  Nobody, not one person, stood up to that team last night down low.  There were times where the C's didn't even try.

Last night was atrocious.  C's were literally out of it from the opening possession.  This team is in deep trouble if they cannot figure out their big man troubles.  Here's hoping this was a momentary lapse.

The Celtics have Shaq and JO for toughness. And the Celts only need one of them to be healthy.

Re: How many dunks by Jordan if we still had a healthy Perk?

Perkins would never have got the 20 pts that Kristic got, no way, Kristic knows how to handle a ball in his hands---whereas Perkins always looked like a deer caught in the headlights every time Rondo passed him a fast ball.........what led to the dunks was big mouth Garnett never putting his money where his mouth is.......based on last night's performance against a sub 500 team this team is going nowhere in the playoffs......Chicago will run all over them.......Big Question: how come the Clippers very recent acquisition Williams can rack up 28 pts while all of the Celts "recent acquisitions" could not rack up 28 pts between them?
Do we have a coaching problem here where an unproductive starter squad is played into the ground by Rivers, while younger legs sat on the bench? does Rivers have a blindspot when it comes to developing young talent? after the first period last night it was obvious to everyone in the bldg that the Big 5 just were not doing it.......and Rondo has not been himself since Perkins was traded...is he still sulking?

    Well said, cousin!

P.S.- Noone provided payback for Rondo getting knocked to the ground a couple times either. Not Good. It is what I feared...

IF we had a healthy Perkins??????  Since he is hurt right now it would all be hypothetical.  I guess look at last years games for an answer.
