So far I am totally wrong about the Celtics winning games this January.  I didn't expect them to be this bad considering how well they played at the beginning of the season.  It will probably only get worse as the season progresses.  Whoever predicted that the Celtics wouldn't win many games in January were right.

As an aside, great matchups tonight with tanking implications, New York-Charlotte, and Cleveland-Lakers. Who would you want to bet on in this mess?

I don't think I would be betting against New York right now as they are getting hot and Charlotte is not.  I'd take the Knicks -1 on the road.

    Is this still January???

And why has the clueless thread starter (4-13) so forsaken his own thread?

I'm standing pat on the Cs going  winless in January.... particularly with CaptainTripleDub back in high gear, forcing potential buzzer beaters against D-league level teams.

Dunno fungus..... your thread.... but the math just isn't there.

How do we get from 1-10 (Jan record) to 4-13 (your prediction)?

Six games left. Whom do we beat?

Do we run the table against Wash.... Philly.... and Knicks?

    Long odds, don'tcha think?

Last time (December) your predictions  bombed, you yelled "racism!"

    Lets don't go there.

Even though they have won a game you are standing pat with a prediction they wont win any games.

It is thinking like this that makes you so adorable.

It would have been nice to see the Celtics win last night since the Bruins and Patriots also lost.  What a bad day to be a Boston sports fan.

Re: How Many Wins In January?

The thread that fungus started and then conveniently  forgot......

Well I predicted that the C's would go 0-17 for the month.

They are currently 2-12  and would have been 0-14 had Rondo played against the Raptors and the Wiz.

(I am protesting these two games with the league office BTW.)

Three games left in Jan... the Nets (currently playing .900 ball) ... the Knicks (currently playing .500 ball) .... and Philly (like us, currently playing .200 ball).

Forget the games against the two NY teams.

    No chance, amigo.

But.... the PHilly game COULD BE the breakout game we've set their sights on to win... despite Rondo being on the floor.

Otherwise... the Cs end January 2-15... not 0-17 as I predicted!

    Pud

P.S.... Lets gear up, ladies because February, here we come!!!

Well... just so you know... I lost the  fight with league office appealing the two games the Cs won this month.

I claimed fraudulent intent. Misrepresentation of goods/services.... and Stern skrewed me as usual.

He said I was a cry-baby and a bed wetter.

Which reminds me... where is fungus....?

    Its his thread after all...

and I'm  doing all the heavy lifting...

    keeping lotto hope alive.

    Did he get banned again?

BTW... we're still on track for a 2-15 January.   Hottttdamm!

Celts can only win 3 games, at most, this January.

My prediction of 4 wins for January was the closest.

But in the end nobody got it right.

    Doesn't matter.

I'd rather be wrong and the Celts end up with 2 or 3 wins this January.

    I want Embiid or Jabari!

Re: How Many Wins In January?

January is officially over... and the Cs went 2-15 for the month.

    I predicted 0-17.

    Fungus predicted 4-13.

The winner for January... is a tie... and the tie goes to the poster who more accurately predicted the winner of each/every game ... which I did... and which fungus failed to do.

I am humbled beyond words to take the January Hugo Award.... and look forward to competing for the February award too.
