Our bench deserves the credit for this one..tired them out, i think, they played triple ot last game...but man, they get after those boards..Big al 14 rbs..we need that..
Like I said, Josh Smith, Pau Gasol, Big Al, or Amare, any of the 4 will do.

The Celts can't go into the playoffs with Bass as the starting PF.

It's not because Bass is no good, he's just not a starting PF.

Only 3 boards for Bass tonight. Unacceptable!
And any of those 4 may well be available at the all star break, as you know.   I think Big Al is my favorite of the bunch.  Amare doesn't play D nor rebound well.  Gasol is, therefore, my second pick - although he can be soft.   Smith is, in my opinion, the most talented of the bunch but has major inconsistency and poor shot selection issues.  Also, we need a reallly big man, not another power forward so I still like Big Al and Gasol.
Unless we want to trade Rondo, i don't see us getting either of them! Now if we offered Rondo and Bass and a pick to the Cavs for Irving and Verajeo, Cleavland would have to think about making that trade!!  Not saying i would do it, but not saying i wouldn't either!!

Nice slam by Green.  Just saw on espn highlights clip.  Wondering how much his game will improve this year.  Past a certain point, he gets taken out of any trade discussions.  But it's only November.

Always liked Varejo.  Sort of player who does what's needed.

Great fit for  us, but don't see it happening.

That elephant is only going to get bigger as the Celts can't do anything about it until January.
Sully, Green, and Bass can team/ tame the elephant with more effort and attitude..we saw traces of that today, and I think they will with about 10-15 more games under their belt..at least im hoping..if not , well lets make a deal...lol

Maybe the owner of the Cavs thinks if he helps the C;s out they could then handle the Heat and Lebron

Boston's problem with working out a trade is that no team wants average players making $5m to $6m per year for 3 or more years. Bass, Lee and Terry are all in that category. Then when you drop down to Bradley or Sullinger's salary, it takes quite a few players to match salaries.

You are correct, which is why you are stuck with Blake and Duhon for the rest of the year!!

    Re: Jazz vs. Celtics 11/14/12

Blake is worse than any of our 'average' players signed for 3-4 more years (Green, Terry, Lee and Bass).

Duhon is a joke Hedley... he's not even in the top 300 players in the game... his name can't be in the same sentence with Blake, let alone out 4 guys,

Anyhow... I see a team like Utah or Cleveland that is done being a top 10 lotto club, but is also not a destination ANY top free agent wants to go, being interested in Bass, and especially Lee. Lee at 3/15 after this year is a good move for a mid-market that will ALWAYS have to overpay free agents. Utah has a glut of frontcourt players and Jefferson/Millsap likely want to move on. They could use some backcourt help and everyone wants draft picks regardless of if they are in the 20's.

    We don't need a trade.

We just need to block out.

No one on this team blocks out.

We don't need a trade.  But we can be better if a trade can be orchestrated.

No matter how hard Bass blocks out, he's just too short. Bass is somewhere between 6-7 and 6-8.

Not true, POWE has the same height - and a rookie then but he blocked the paint better than any 6-7. The truth, Bass not good enough....fools gold.

Oh, they won again by outside shooting....outrebounded by weak team by 15 more? ....how that happened? They will pay for this deficiency in mid season when every win counts.
