We get that you're new here, but those are the facts on Joey Crawford.

If you don't like them, then find a way to praise Crawford.

Seriously.  Do it.  What can you say about him? Please find a way to show him in a positive light.  You seem to like him.

Stop trolling or get on board.  Are you or aren't you a Celtics fan? Because you actually sound a lot like LakerTroll.

Kirk,

This is a very interesting thread and I agree with you that Crawford shouldn't be officiating in the NBA.  How is it even possible that he is still allowed to hold this position?

If EVER an NBA official CLEARLY carries a chip on his shoulder towards certain players/teams.... it is Joey Crawford. Make no mistake about it.

There's no doubt in my mind that Joey has pictures of Stern diddling little boys or something lurid in nature. This guy should have been relieved of his spot in the officiating department of the NBA/WWE. He's as dirty as they come and everyone knows it.

You could be right.  He definitely shouldn't be officiating any longer and this is definitely a possibility.

I think maybe you missed one as well.
Joey Crawford was the ref in Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals who GAVE LA a 21-6 4th quarter FT advantage that handed the Lakers the win.

I had forgotten that Crawford was the official in this game.  It took me the entire summer  to get over the Celtics not winning the championship.  I was probably even more upset than some of the players after losing in game 7.

Everytime I see Joey Crawford reffing a Celtic game they lose.   He calles stupid techinical fouls.  Yesterday was no exception.   He called one on Jermaine O'Neil becaused he questioned the call.  He called another one on Pavlovic for nothing.  All he did was look stupid.   Pavlovic did look lost out there.   Finally he called a foul on Daniels with the game on the line.   He went for the ball.  In that situation you let the players decide the game.   He might have got his arm afterward but it was incidental contact.   Joey Carwford if you ask me is not a Cetlics Fan at all.   He needs to go.

Starting to believe the NBA have more rouge officials than any other professional sports. The thing that gets me is these so call sportswriters ( hacks) who don't do their job and really expose officials like Joe Crawford. They' re just collecting checks and enjoying the NBA post game meal spread.

Even Doc said as much, which truly carries weight in the NBA.

Kirk,
Great thread.  Crawford made the worst call helping the Lakers in 2007 but saved the worst called quarter for us in 2010 in game seven of the finals.

Crawford is sixty years old and still is allowed to impose his corrupt will on NBA games.

Great Ref!  Takes no crap from the infantile players.

Why don't you blame O'Neil and KG for being rank "JERKS"!

They have been in the league forever, and cn't control themselves.

What happened to Smart Players?

In Response to Joey Crawford's history...why is this guy still allowed to be a ref?:
In 1998, Crawford was one of eight NBA referees charged with filing false income tax returns after an Internal Revenue Service investigation found that cash was being pocketed by referees when airline tickets provided by the league were downgraded. At the conclusion of a four year investigation, Crawford pleaded guilty on July 1, 1998 to falsely stating income of $82,500 from 1991 to 1993 and resigned from the NBA effective immediately. He was reinstated by NBA commissioner David Stern in 1999 and did not miss a game due to a players' lockout that started the 1998–99 NBA season. On April 15, 2007, Crawford ejected San Antonio Spurs superstar Tim Duncan for supposedly laughing at Crawford from his seat on the bench during a game against the Dallas Mavericks. Duncan also supposedly insulted Crawford with an expletive. Duncan alleges that Crawford asked if he wanted to fight. On April 17, Crawford was suspended for the remainder of the 2006-07 season and the 2007 Playoffs as a result of this altercation, ending his 21 consecutive Finals appearances. The league also fined Duncan $25,000 for verbal abuse of an official and warned that a repeat incident in the future would result in an ejection. Commissioner David Stern said Crawford's actions "failed to meet the standards of professionalism and game management we expect of NBA referees." Crawford met with league officials on July 30 to discuss his future in the NBA but no resolution was reached. Stern later reinstated Crawford. In the 2008 Playoffs, Crawford was chosen to officiate Game 4 of the Western Conference final between the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers. In the closing seconds of the game, there was a no-call where the Spurs' Brent Barry was arguably fouled by Derek Fisher. Crawford was the closest official to the call, and the NBA later apologized for the lack of a call. And then there's this... Crawford attended the same high school as Tim Donaghy, the NBA offical who was sentenced to 15 months in federal prison for miscalling NBA games.
Posted by Kirk6
That just about sums this up

I hope and pray that someone uncovers exactly how Stern is connected to Donaghue and the refs
