Great as third string.  JON, Aaron Gray and Brown would be fine if we can't get Dalembert or Chandler (and I say we can't).  Any long term deal for a center puts us OUT of the Howard sweepstakes, so Brown is okay for a year at the right price!

Wow the celts sure have an eye for talent at center. There was Herman Munster but got kicked to OKC, then snaq (lmao), jo aka the big loser, nonads and possibly kwame.

    What a roll call!!

This guy is still young enough to be a poor mans Perkins, with better offensive skills..Remember how crude Perkin s was for several years..Brown has more physical skills. He has'nt worked with good defensive players.. With JO and KG tutoring him, who knows what this kid can produce. Who was he supposed to learn from in La...?? Gasoft, dodom,???? Bring back a good big man coach to help with the youngsters..Jabbar, Walton, dream, or C Ray...He was excellent..
If Jabbar comes and does a good job, we can give him the statue he covets.
and teach the rookie the proper fundamentals of the hook shot..

Gray could be this lockouts best candidate for the "Biggest Loser" when it's settled ... the next Shawn Kemp?

He never had Kemp's talent.  He and Fesenko are about the same.  Big bodies that will bang and use their fouls.  Just what we need.  Gray  made about 1 mill last year, no where near Kemp money.  How can you possibly say he'll be a bust  - he's already only a backup center - geez!!

    Re: Kwame Brown a Celtic????

i simply cannot believe that people are talking like jerlame o'neal is going to be back in green next year.  if the celts actually try to bring that to fruition, they are fools.  this guy was barely pasted together for a brief stretch of consistent minutes in the playoffs after MONTHS of constant perpetual spa and rehab.

simply put, jerlame doesn't have it any more.  to expect him to be your starter for 82 + 10-12 playoff games is crazy.  the most games he'll play is 45 regular season.  so YES you need a first string center and a second and a third because the most jerlame will do is be 1/2 of a first stringer for you.

so why don't we just wait till the lockout ends and ship him off or retire him on chronic fatal injuries.  like he's going to show up in shape!  crap, i can't blame the guy, if he spends the summer staying in shape he'll be out 3 months to rest his kneee!

    Re: Kwame Brown a Celtic????

Maybe the C's can sign Kwame and trade him and a bag of balls to Memphis for the other Gasol, a la the Lakers.  But seriously, for part of the MLE (if it exists) the C's could do worse than Kwame.
