[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Lakers universally acclaimed as the NBA'S greatest franchise : The Celtics have never lost to a team that came from the ABA in the Finals, that's a fact! Actually, the Celtics don't have a problem with the other teams. Only the Hawks and Lakers have beaten the Celtics in the Finals. Can't say the same for the Lakers as the Lakers have a losing record against the Knicks, Pistons, Bulls, and Celtics in the Finals.

Oh, so you mean a loss prior to the finals is not a loss? The Celtics not losing to an ABA team in the final is a fact but I also have news for you:
A loss in the 1st round or 2nd round or 3rd is still a loss: 2002 vs Nets, 2003 vs Nets, 2004 vs Pacers, 2005 vs Pacers
Failing to make the playoffs is not a win either.
So you can hide your head in the sand but a loss in the finals is better than failing to make the playoffs, true or false?
Of course you will say false. I know you guys only want to count 12 NBA seasons for the Celtics, something like a record of 9-3...
And think about what problems the Celtics had with the other teams. Let's start with:
missing the playoffs 16 times.
You should feel good that not one single team were slapping the Celtics silly to stop them from making the playoffs and save them from more playoff embarrassments. And you actually think losing records against the Knicks, Pistons, Bulls in the finals were bad...
