See, Karl, if you don't believe me then you must believe Larry Coon, right?

Looks like you were wrong, Karl.

Are you man enough to admit you were wrong?

I do agree with this. There has to be compensation since Rivers still has 3 years left with 21 million still due to him. nothing will be known until after the fnals and when it gets close to draft time. I really find it hard Rivers walking away from 21 million. If he doesn't want to stay then fine, go!!! The Celtics need to rebuild and find somebody to rebuild with. Not really sold on Vinnie Del Negro.

Didn't Auerbach trade someone for the right to make money off a circus?

hasn't this been  dealt with here enough?

so according to Larry Coon no coach can be traded...OK good.

and yes we know some one will put up a post here again about "trading" Doc.

the same Larry Coon also says a team letting a Coach out of his contract has brought "compensation" in the past.

so the Celtics CAN get something back for letting doc out of his deal.

what does it matter if someone calls it a trade?

in the end letting doc out of his deal to coach elsewhere SHOULD net the Celtics something in return.

call it a "transaction" if it makes everyone happy.

    so for the current talk:

TRADE KG and PIerce to the Clippers for the bounty that you have determined meets the CBA cap rules ( Bledsoe, Jordan, Crawford, Butler)

then TRANSACTION Doc to the Clippers for their next #1 draft pick!

    chris,

Back in 1956 the Celts wanted to select Bill Russell in the draft. They were picking 3rd behind St Louis and Rochester. Fearing that Rochester would take Russell the Celts cut a deal with them. Rochester was having financial problems so Walter Brown, owner of the Celts and a very influential person in matters concerning the ICE CAPADES, was able to get Rochester a very profitable 2 week gig in exchange for agreeing not to draft Russ. When Russ went to St Louis with the number one pick the Celts traded Macauley and Hagen for Russ and the rest is history.

    Seems

Fierce is a funny guy. He has had spin the fact he said the Celtics can't get compensation. He invented the position the people on this board think that compensation is the same thing as a trade. He was wrong about compensation, like he was about S&T, and adverbs.

    Wrong!

Show the post where I said the Celts can't get compensation.

If Doc leaves, he can't coach another team and the Celts will get nothing!

Did any team get permission to talk to Doc Rivers?

Again, BosoxJoe, you keep accusing me of being wrong about things but you can never show proof.

It's simple, BosoxJoe, show proof so that people will believe you.
