he averaghes 18 points and 11 boards per 36 minutes. He will be even better next year for certain.

Even better if Embiid is alongside Sully.

good story. Need to start calling Sully "suitcase", after his grandfather.

If Sully at 6'9" were 3 inches taller he'd be as good a Center or better as any 7 footer, Hibbert, Cousins, Howard etc.

But other than Kevin Love, David Lee, Bosh, perhaps, he's as good now as any Forward.

I think if Oly develops and we can get Embiid, along with Sully we'd have the best Back court since Bird, Parrish & McHale days.

This could be the year and next year also.

Maybe he is remembering what it was like to have an injury riddled team fall to the second worst record in the league.  Followed by watching another franchise be awarded the second pick.

Law of averages say the Celts are due for a top 3 pick.

Last time the Celts had the #3 pick was back in 1997.

As long as the Celts have the 4th or 5th worst record, they're very much in the hunt for a top 3 pick.

So you said Danny Ainge is remembering what it is like to have a top 3 pick.  And now you are saying he has never had one.

That's why Bayless is a waste of time.

When his shots are not falling, he's basically useless.

What I said was Jabari Parker recently reminded Ainge how sweet it is to have a top 3 pick.

The Mavs are just the 8th seed in the west and a sure 1st round playoff exit.

Do we really want to be a team like the Mavs.

Only solution is to tank this season and maybe next season.

That's why we need to rebuild the right way.

    Build through the draft.

Expecting another blockbuster like the KG trade in 2007 is not realistic.

Celts being abused by a good team.  All the weaknesses are being exposed.  Sully can't deal with a front court of Dalembert and Nowitzki.  Dallas runs a diciplined spread offense and the C's can't compete.  Miss a few jumpers and everything gets clogged.

Fierce, your obvious dislike of Bayless is clouding your knowledgeable posts.  If you're going to call Bayless "basically useless" because he is 0-3 shooting, how useless is it that he has more assists than anyone in the game tonight?

Please post something "useful" because posting useless personal comments because of your dislike of a players is so unlike you.

I guess when Sully's shot is not falling, he's useless too. Oh 11 rebounds tonight.

    Pete

I have watched Bayless since his days with Portland.

    He's nothing special.

    All he does is shoot.

When his shots are falling he looks good.

That's the only time he looks good.

Bayless has also never averaged more than 4 assists per game his whole career.

Bayless' career average in assists is just 2.8 per game.

That's below average for a PG.

Fierce, I've been watching Bayless for awhile too.  But what does that have to do with your post about his performance tonight?  Nothing.

He has 8 assists so although his shot is not falling he's not useless tonight.

    Would you agree?

    Tonight, yes.

But I'm talking about long term, Pete.

Would you want to give Bayless a multi-year contract this summer?
