    Mozgov to the Celtics?

I think we could pull this deal off.

Mozgov and Anthony Randolph to the Celtics

Bass and Melo to the Nuggets.

The salaries match, both teams get a big man and the C's get longer. Mozgov is 7'1 and Randoplh is 6'11 and still young.

It's not like Mozgov is in high demand and we don't have to break up the core pieces to get it done.

So how good is Mozgov?  Melo might be a lot better.  I am interested in a big who is good.

Um, Mozgov isn't bad but he's better than Melo. I'm not ready to tinker with our core guys but we can get bigger if we give up two guys that are expendable and Bass and Melo are expendable.

I don't want to give up Sully, Green or Lee IF WE can avoid it because we are going to need Lee's and Green's defense come playoff time. We have Sully to take up time for Bass and Doc will use Green at 4 down the stretch anyway. We have too many 4's

Bass would do well in DEN, as they like to run and shoot.  He would be a good complement to Faried.  Lawson, Iggy, Galinari, Bass and McGee is a really fast, athletic, shooting team.

    Interesting.  I guess.

LOL! What is the infautaion with Dalembert? Mozgov is younger and bigger. Dalembert can't even get off the bench for the Bucks...and he's old. We don't need another 30+ yr old. We might as well stay with Wilcox if that's the case. We can do better than Dalembert.

Mozgov isn't better than Dalembert. I wouldn't mind Mozgov though.  Just saying, Dalembert is better.  If you want Mozgov then you should want Dalembert. Even this year when he "can't get off the bench" he is averaging 6 points, 5 boards and 1.3 blocks in 16 mintues a game.  That's pretty much all the Celtics need. A big who can rebound and block shots.  I am not "fascinated" just wondering why you like Mozgov better, other than he is "bigger and younger".   Dalembert is 31. That isn't "old"

Oakufor would be a nice pick up and would not have to give up much.

okafor's per minute output is down the toilet this year- we don't need that.  and he's playing for a miserable team- another miserable team in a string of miserable teams- and he's not putting out numbers.

mozgov is a great idea- giving up bass is fine but giving up melo is not so great.  anthony randolph is a big stack of nothing- a twig of a big man at 6-11, 105 pounds.  just go for mozgov or put a bigger trade together to get rid of bass and green and bring a third team in.

i'd probe the issue with denver and see what they want that we have- like rondo.  ty lawson can hit outside shots and is lightning quick.  and he's consistent on D and O each night.   i doubt denver would give him up, but rondo is NOT playing up to the next two years at 25 million USD combined left on his contract.

and then noobdy ELSE will want to pay him a pay raise except ainge.

i know that imagination and thorough talent evaluation are foreign concepts to ainge, but this is what should be done.  a PG who does all the basics in addition to setting the table would do this old team wonders.  hell, even an old fatso like bagley was would do it for us.

HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT MOZGOV IS BETTER THAN FAB MELO ? AND FOR HOW LONG ?

EVERYONE ON THIS BOARD WANTED AVERY BRADLEY WAIVED AFTER HIS ROOKIE SEASON (HE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A ROOKIE SEASON !)

FAB MELO IS GOING TO BE BETTER THAN A CAREER JOURNEYMAN , I'D SAY IT'S LESS OF A STRETCH TO SAY FAB MELO IS GOING TO BE AS GOOD AS JERMAINE O'NEAL WAS IN HIS PRIME......THAT'S ALL STAR LEVEL , MOZGOV WILL NEVER COME CLOSE TO PLAYING IN A NBA ALL STAR GAME

NO TRADE OF FAB MELO OR SULLINGER OR AVERY BRADLEY FOR CAREER JOURNEYMEN

INSTEAD, JUST SIGN CHRIS BIRDMAN ANDERSON OR GO FIND ANOTHER STEIMSA OR SEMI ERDAN.....

NO MORE TRADING YOUNG BLUE CHIP TALENT FOR JOURNEYMEN LIKE RODNEY RODGERS , VITALY POTOPENKO , OR THEO RATLIFF........

    Re: Mozgov to the Celtics?

I don't know what you'll expect to get in return for Bass or Melo or Lee. SMH it's makes no sense. Look Melo may be good one day BUT he can't even get in an NBA game right now. I agree he may be good but until we see him we are all speculating.

We are NOT getting a frontline big man for our trading chips...plain and simple. If we are going to keep Melo, let's start playing him before all the meaningful games come in March and April. If not, move him for a big that has some NBA experience. If we turned Stiemer into a decent big, why can't we do it for Melo or Mosgov.

Keep in mind the big also has to be available. I've heard Dalembert, Gortat, Cousins. Mosgov is only making $3M. Dalembert is making $6M. I'm trying to find a reasonable big man that doesn't mean we give up ROndo, AB or Green.

yeah, but he's behind two very good centers.  He'd be playing more elsewhere, but he's not that much of an upgrade over collins and not at all over wilcox if healthy.  He would slow down the 2nd unit I think.  Not a good fit in denver.

We would be crazy to trade Melo for Mozgov!!  Bass would be a different story, or Wilcox if Danny could make it work!

Yeah, but i'd rather have a Mozgov than a Bass.

For some of you the best thing to do is to email your resume to the Boston Celtics HR office, so when Danny gets axed then one of you might get his job.......
