    No big man

A disgrace, just speaks to poor GMship.   A need like that over such a length of time.   We will be a .500 team.

When you think about all the missteps with Perk, Erden, Krstic, Powe, J'ONeal, Sheed and even Darko, I just feel bad for KG.

Maybe Ainge should have offered KG and Pierce for Gortat? God why do people act like Danny just refuses to get a big man?

Does it occur to anyone out there that other GMs might ask a high price for a big man? That maybe the suns don't want to give us Gortat for Brandon Bass?

    Suns GM: Hello?

Danny: We have Brandon Bass, want him for Gortat?

SUns GM: Uh a near all star center for a n undersized big who can't rebound and whose shooting is down and who tends to dissapear in big games? Uhm no we can do better.

    Danny: okay.

We just got rid of Collins and have a fragile Wilcox.  It is a need you have to fill. Maybe Danny has a plan and we just don't know about it yet, try to be objective.  You have to bring someone in.

Hopefully not as bad as the guy in VW baseball throwing commercial.  He is already on the trading block so it appears this is most likely another wasted first round pick.  And I thought there were a couple of good options available for a big man when they picked Melo.  Sometimes, I just wish Ainge would just take any mock draft and pick the best player available instead of reaching for it himself.

please do not buy into this "it's all about the lux tax" crapola.  this is all about ainge being an incompetent nitwit.  he watched while bird man went to miami.  if we don't work some sort of deal to get mozgov then danny should be demoted to coaching little league.  seriously- denver has come out and declared they have too many 5's.  and we have none!  you do the math!!

we never needed a "gortat" level of player who is frankly not a proven item- he's never started and done anything on a good team.  he was a decent bench player on a good team but he's never done anything as a starter on a good team, since he's never started for a good team!

you don't always need the best available piece or player.  but we just need SOMETHING.  mozgov would have been it.  and there are others.  pryzbilla dangled around in never never land of free agency for months this last summer and he came back from injury and finished out last year strong.  as strong as he does which is bang and mash and grab rebounds.  that's what we need.  we don't need a gortat who has been worried about his touches

    Re: No big man

It is not so much that we needed a 7 ft Center/Scorer which would have  been nice, but we needed a guy like our Leon Powe was at 6'8" or 9" to box out players. In the Denver game Faried is only 6'8" and got 16 rebounds & no one wanted to box him out. Bass is as big,why didn't he?

The guy we should have gotten and a better scorer too than Faried is PF Kenyon Martin at 6'8" and 240 lbs and a basher ! And someone mentioned Birdman who went to Miami which I would have liked. Maybe Celtics didn't like all his tattoes. Seems SF 49ers didn't mind Kaepernick's.

As we need play small ball, victories are going to come being beaten in rebound battles giving opponents have 2nd chances but by needing to  shoot 45-50%( and we didn't get J. Redick either to help us do that) and by playing great "D" and causing more turnovers. Are we going to do this every night? Don't think so as we need PP & KG in for scoring but PP especially is too slow to defend the young guys. Yup, I've read that Miami doesn't have Center either, but we don't have anyone like a LeBron & Wade to drive to the basket and they can shoot outside too. We will live or die being a jump shooting team. Picking up Crawford was nice but a BIG MAN was more important !!!
