[QUOTE]" instead rondo CRUMBLED!" You really need a clue sometimes. Rondo had some issues this season (and he has some holes in his game he better be working on now!) but he's mentally waaaay tougher than you are. You're talking about a little guy who almost jammed a dunk down on Dwight Howard. That's why he's playing pro ball and you're creating some kind of message board hero role for yourself here. So if he crumbled then you must truly be in shambles.

calll it what u want. rr is not mentally tough when it comes to his shooting orelse he would have been over his hump by now. overall, sure.. same with overcoming that injury last year. talking specifically about his shooting. obama just spoke for folks like me and karlost or as piers morgan recently did to christine o'donnell by reminding her that there is something called "videotape" and she's not invincible and has to be held accountable for her silly past words. rr and u must think others are blind about his shooting and cant see the lobvious that he has a mental block in that area. he's a total shooting frontrunner. easy to get in his head. he really needs a sports psychologist!

Did Rondo begin to pout and spiral into a deep FUNK because Perk got traded or because Obama embarrassed him by teasing him off-hand about his lack of shooting skills... or maybe was it a combination of the two? Whatever... the kid showed ZERO mental toughness under those circumstances. Same when he quit on TEAM USA. Pud

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Obama calls out Rondo : mchale's critical play was considered more permissible and less cheap back in 1984. much more. the celtics had been remarkably fortunate to win game2 at home and, after being run out of the bldg in game3 in LA, were down 2-1 on the road and desperate. ainge has said that during stretching prior to game4 the comment "this dunkfest is embarrassing. we gotta take somebody out" was made. cornbread has said that while on the bench together, m.l. carr was instrumental in getting mchale into full lather with comments like "man, if i was in there i'd really do something..." and mchale, 6th man of the year but not having much of a series to that point, was responding "yeah, yeah, yeah, i'll do it." well, he did it. mchale was all nervous and shaky in the immediate aftermath, and carr and the celtics told him, "hey, you did what you had to do." that play turned that series around. magic has commented "when you can't catch something, you gotta knock it down, slow it down to give yourself a chance. that's what the celtics did to us with that play." no wrongdoing. mchale received only a foul for his actions.

At least Obama might be right on this one...
He said if we forked over billions..unemployment would stay under 8%
He said that they would be half a milmlion jobs a month created(last month was about 150 thou...
He said we were  in a recovery last summer(news flash..there was never a recovery)the only reason the stock market has not completely tanked is the they are printing money and buying their own bonds...how long is that going to last??? The Fed is keeping rates down..get ready to pay more for everything else...who needs toothpaste anyways..right..those of you in NY already know what im talkin about...you already pay 12 bucks for a pack of cigarettes, im sure that eliminated all the rest of the problems in that state.no more unemployment there im sure.....

He said lets tax the rich to get out of this mess( these guys are so scared of his policies, they will not hire, buy or spend..)that would pay for the government spending for about a week..and my wife will get laid off, since she works for a dentist..He has already announced that if he HAS to provide health care  or his taxes are raise next year he will lay off 2-3 people..just to stay in business....
I have a friend stockbroker...ses everybody getting the heck outa dodge...

He said that we were recovering again,, until the japan earth quake, the euro banks,, bushes fault..Rondo's elbow...and what ever else he can think of..by the way Reagan, Clinton, and Bush all inherited a recession...but i never heard them complain for 2 years about it...
Yet unemployment is above 9%..12% for hispanics, and 16% for blacks..what do you expect when you hire someone that is totally unqualified, for the highes job in the world...Doc rivers  and Danny would be a better president, any day of the week...
Oh yes, after labor day. a new jobs bill, is to be announced..more shovel ready????Nice...can; wait..2 more government workers will get hired or savedand 1 million more will get laid off...
But yes , he should be chiming in on Rondo"s shooting problems.??At least Rondo has a job..wait..no he does'nt..go figure..
.Say what you want about Clinton, at least the guy was a governor and a Rhodes scholar...meaning
you can still make stupid mistakes, but at least youre smart enough to know when to reverse course or inhale the BS..

He did call them out..They called his bluff...now we know who really crumbled due to their POOR SUBSTANCE  or lack of real strong character.who actually presented a plan??..but your missing the main point...this was by design..
.of course Buffet will stand by him..he made billions on the recent railroad investments he bought recently..
so don't be surprised when you get a jobs program in September that entails lots of investment towards infrastructure, (railroads, super trains)with plenty of of tax loopholes for Mr Buffet.. just as Soros stands to gain from the health care investments..The same Wall street "fat cats" that will be vilified in the press....

Shaq knows how to make money, and he said this about Rondo to sell his book.

Ortiz123, I think you're on point about the infrastructure spending and the loopholes and contracts to be awarded.  Buffet is an anomoly and a horrible refference for the prez to use in order to justify policies.  He always, "well I know Warren Buffet, we're pals, I'm cool... Buffet this... Mr Buffet sees things my way..." Blahh blahh.  I think Buffet is the only business person he knows sometimes.  the success of our economy isn't dependent on Buffet's success.  It's dependent on those who aren't the anomoly.  Buffet knows that all he has to do is praise this administration to the skies and then he'll be able to take them to the cleaners.  As do others in the international arena.  The trade off is that Buffet's celebrity status will undoubtedly influence some americans to help re-elect the current administration.

Hopefully there will come a point in your life where you realize that the debt is real and the people that cause the debt want no part of being what most of us would call being Americans.  My 73 year old stepfather keeps asking - why does this debt thing matter?  I usually say well if spending a billion dollars a day to make sure you keep getting benefits you didn't work for, I gues it doesn't matter.

The elderly get 3 to 5 times more than they ever put into the SS and Medicare systems but yet where hear " I have paid in my entire life, don't cut my benefits"... if cutting benefits means that while you were employed you put in enough money to buy a pint of ice cream every month but now that you are retired you get enough to buy a 5 gallon jug of ice cream with a banana split and as much whipped cream and cherries then you are all set.....

of all the plans that have been put forth the only one that cuts benefits is Obamacare - he was willing to take 500 billion from medicare to make sure that those that have no intention of ever becoming American can get benefits....

on the other end of the spectrum - there are vast swaths of the country that believe that starting the family at 15 and not knowing anyone in their family that has ever had a job and that their mother is 30 and she does not have any idea who the father is and that when, in the past, having a baby as a teenager was a tragedy, an embarrassment, and brought shame to the family is now viewed as a requirement to attend a town meeting to boost the amount of money allocated for the high school day care center.....

For an increasing number of so-called Americans personal responsibility is a so-called unconfirmed rumor.  Imagine this.... in America if you think personal responsibility, family, education, faith, hard work, work ethic, etc. you are considered an EXTREMIST however if you think whatever - just another kid.... then you are considered the future.....

There was a time in America when r & r was rest and relaxation but it very quickly has become rights but ignore responsibilities.....

    the results?

A couple of productive generations stuck being responsible for taking care of their parents and grandparents retirement and healthcare on the elderly side and taking care of their own kids and everyone else's kids where the father is dead, in jail, absent, etc....

The libetards want people to think that debt does not matter and that we are all in this together, unless of course you are not in it at all other than to get the benefits.

SS was created for people that live to 65 when life expectancy was 62 and medicare was never supposed to cost more than 40 billion dollars.....  now 20% of the country gets a SS check and medicare is going to cost a trillion dollars within then next 10 years.......

All benefits should be  calibrated to the census life expectancy and all tables should be recalibrated such that within the next 10 years nobody under 75 should be getting SS because they ummmm forgot to save for retirement.....

As medicare goes... the dems would love people to believe that every day 10k babyboomers retire and that we are all obligated to take care of them forever because they ummmm.... forgot to take care of themselves.... the reality is most of those people are in no position to retire and they will be working long after their 65th birthday......

My children are 12 and 11 and they cannot quite understand the idea of taxes - how do I explain to them that because of the liberals they each owe people they don't even know about a million dollars each and that they are probably looking at tax rates of about 70%.......

Everyday we see more and more signs that the socialism that most of Europa has tried is basically an abortion however we have a president who lives his entire life hoping that at some point the wealthy of America at some point will transfer their wealth to the poor - if I drive America into as much debt as humanly possible eventually someone will have to pay for it and it will be those that drive wealth... oh well.

I guess that is how it is in the third world. There was Egypt, Rome, Britain, etc. and now there is the USA....... The government does whatever it can to remove wealth from those that earn it to make sure that those that don't can obtain it without having to work for it.... the browning of America is the downing of America.........

How do I explain to my children that no matter how much they do and no matter how smart they are that they are responsible to make sure that people that have absolutely no interest in doing what they think is right....... hey dad?  why do I have to go to school / work today?  ummmmm you don't............ everything will be the same......

In 2009 and earlier this year, to help fund the mega-acquisition of Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad, Buffett was a big net seller of stocks .

I believe Soros bet the farm on the recent debt budget downgrade....now you know why Mr. Obama never had a plan, kept walking away, told his people to just keep turning it down..since people would still blame the other side...the press kept reporting only one side..but who actually presented a plan??
..These two guys have bet the farm on health care, railroads, and Mr. Soros is suspected of walking away with a cool billion on this recent down grade...and he is far from a conservative...guaranteed..as a matter of fact, he makes his money on the failure of economies...its scary....If you knew ahead of time that there was no way there is going to be an nba season, would you not bet that farm??But this is at our expense....scary....

A mystery investor or hedge fund reportedly made a bet of almost $1billion at odds of 10/1 last month that the U.S. would lose its AAA credit rating.

Now questions are being asked of whether the trader had inside information before placing the $850million bet in the futures market.

There are mounting rumours that investor George Soros, 80, famously known as ‘the man who broke the Bank of England’, could be involved.

He made more than $1billion on currency speculation when the British pound left the Exchange Rate Mechanism on Black Wednesday in 1992.

What makes the tax-the-rich myth so insidious is that Buffett most likely would not suffer any change in his standard of living if his taxes were doubled to $14 million a year.  With an annual income of approximately $40 million, he can pay more for just about anything he chooses.

So, let’s stipulate that Buffett can “afford” to pay more taxes.  But this statement ignores the more important question:  How would the middle class and poor be affected by the higher tax rates that Buffett advocates.  Let’s consider what happens when the rich pay more in taxes.  With less disposable incomehttp://www.forbes.com/sites/charleskadlec/2011/08/22/taxpayers-should-be-leery-of-warren-buffetts-faux-noblesse-oblige/

unable to fix it!  beautiful thought lines there.  he's simply taken bush's worst points to an art form.  spend, spend and spend.  more and more, more more more entitlements.  this idiot college professor has nary an idea regarding the economy, just how to bring more crap under the protective wing of gov't.

no idea how to fund it, just how to seize it, alinksy style.  take apart the watch, no idea how to put it back together.  there's a big difference b/t that and not being "able" to fix it.  he doesn't want to fix it, he wants to break it worse.
