    In response to BosoxJoe5's comment:

1)He will be 27 next season.

2)If you acutally look at the stats last year was an improve over the season before in FG%

3)PPG have been on a three year trend up.

4)He also had a career year in FT%, and TRB.

    1) Wrong, he is 27 already.

    2) True but 2011/12 was also his career low besides his rookie year.

3)True, but just cause 2010/11 was close to his 2nd year and last year was not his career high (especially if you consider per 36 min). The trends are not strong anyway.

    4) Wrong, his career year was his rookie (!) year. And he is still below .700 by a wide margin and his FTA went significantly down.

It is ok if you like Rondo but this facts, don't back it up.

Rondo isn't a face of the franchise guy. That's ok. He can be a good number two if he sets his mind to it.

Rondo is in a tough spot as Ainge might trade him if he plays too well.

    In response to R9R's comment:

The point is that its dumb to simply hate on Rondo and say he can't lead. He's never had the opportunity. This is his chance. The Celtics did not just turn into the Bobcats overnight, but rather (through Dannys freaking magic) have become the next OKC/GSW/HOU. We have a ton of assets including our own and a chance to build something that can keep getting better.

Lets give Rondo a chance. I want to see him take his time recovering. I want to see him working with his teamates and taking the lead as the face of the franchise. We've seen him mature as he develops, and he certainly has the chance to turn into the next PP. Hope he does!

What banana boat did you just fall off of?

"The point is that its dumb to simply hate on Rondo and say he can't lead. He's never had the opportunity"

Are you kidding or what, never had the opportunity? LOL Doc only force fed the team ROndo as its leader!! Shoving it down their throats and they all had to gulp it.. the result was failure!! Get a clue

    "have become the next OKC/GSW/HOU"

No, we havent.. We dont even know what kind of team we will have or what those picks will bring us  or pretty much anything else...

    "Lets give Rondo a chance."

I feel like vomitting reading such nonsense

"I want to see him working with his teamates and taking the lead as the face of the franchise."

THis statement is an admission he hasnt done these things... youre hoping to jam a square peg into a round hole

"We've seen him mature as he develops"

Really? by pouting and sabotaging the C's for a month when DA got rid of Perk? By getting tossed from playoff games cause he cant controll his temper and worse, shows no remorse afterward? By taking games off, being lazy and indifferent to playing solid defense forcing the rest of the team to scramble attempting to cover for him while he cjased steal stats?  Gimmie a break!!

"he certainly has the chance to turn into the next PP."

    LOL.. you must be high!!

Why are people getting so hot and bothered about Rondo?  Leave it to Danny.  RR is a good player but not indispensible; if Danny sees a good opportunity that will improve us, he will do it.

    Re: Open Letter to Rajon

Rondo is hell bent and determined not to play 2nd fiddle to anyone.

He insists on being the man, the star, the face of the franchise, yet falters badly in that role.

As we say down south, that dog won't hunt!

Yes... he's in a tight spot with the Cs.

Blame whomever you want to.... but its of his own making, with help from his so called, now departed,  friends.

The landscape around Rondo has changed dramatically of recent yet he remains stubbornly resistant to/fearful of change.

    Always the victim of circumstances.

Now he may get the short end of the stick for being too big of a fish in too small of a pond.

Yup! Life can be brutal when you are bigger than life.

Wait 'till he asks for and fully expects a max contract!!!

He simply doesn't see what's coming.

While his enablers, equally blind, can produce stats to support why he's worth every penny of a max contract.... conveniently forgetting those pesky little intangibles (maturity, consistency, leadership) that always seem to hold R9R back from his true destiny.

    Train wreck ahead!!!

    Pud

Thats what people do around here.

They get really upset about Rondo.
