    Our Demise

It all began when Ainge dealt Perkins.  Since then, the Celtics has been nothing more than mediocre at best.  It all comes down to rebounding and giving up second chance points.  It was the reason we lost to the lakers in game 7 when Perkins was out and its the main reason we are losing now.  He also provided that low post presence on offense we desperately need.  Finally and maybe most importantly is the chemistry or identity of this team has been corrupted.

But I am not saying anything new, we all know that already.  We just havent moved on or rebounded quite yet.  But the reality is that we no longer have an elite team due to a personnel mistake by Ainge.  But at least, we were competitive last year as apposed to now where we are losing to the likes as the suns at home and only scoring 71 in the process.  What has changed so drastically from last year?  You could say the lockout has had its effect on our aging roster.  Pierce, Garnett look really old like they shouldnt even be out there as starters.
Will they bounce back this year?  I think so but it will not be the championship caliber celtics we will see when conditioning and game legs return, but the same celtics we had at the end of last year.  A playoff bound team which will lose to whoever they face in the the second round of the playoffs.

And worse of all, the future looks bad.  Aside from Rondo, who needs great players around him in order to be great, we dont have a good young core and there isnt any superstar lining up to come to the Celtics and we all know that in this league, no body wins unless you have at least two stars one of them being a premier player.  ITs sucks but thats the reality of it, unless Ainge can pull a miracle off and land Howard.

The Celtics are having a bad season, but I do believe they should be much improved next season.  If they don't make the playoffs, they end up with a higher draft pick.  They will have a lot of cap space to sign players  Not sure if Danny will be able to sign any elite players, but as much as we all disagree with many of Danny's recent moves, he is the one responsible for signing KG and Ray.

The free agent market will be limited at best.  We have to build through the draft and trades.

The sooner the better and the deeper the better... Andre Drummond might be the next Amare but of course if you draft 20th you end with Giddens and Perks and West and Greens, etc..........   Lose as much as humanly possible and draft real players.... how could that be a bad thing?
