I assume that Gasol goes to Orlando if a trade is made....?  ....if that happens the Lakers lose the one edge they had that no team could match...."three 7 footers "as the Lakers liked to call them....I would like to see it happen.....Kobe is in his last years....Paul and Howard form a nice duo....but the Heat have LeBron, Wade, Bosh...and just added a classy vet in Battier.....as I said before the lockout was cancelled....the Heat are (and have been) the favorite to win it all after coming up short in their first year together.....not sure what Boston will do....but the Lakers would not become the Western favorites....in my opinion....

    This can't be real!!

    Starting 5 that includes:

    Kobe
    CP3
    DH

and there not favorites in the west? C'mon.........ugh!

You and your proof crap ... connect the dots dummy ... why do you think there's a mad scramble for Paul. Why did the Orlando CEO resign after calling DH at 1AM pleading with him to stay in Orlando?

Dwight is not resigning with them. Why not get something. That's how the stupid Melo deal went down with the Knicks. The CP3 deal just happened to be blatantly rigged.

GREAT TRADE for my beloved Lake Show!!! Love Bynum but Kupchak needs to fill the hole at powerforward if he cant get Dwight

Deron Williams may be plan B, and i wouldnt mind that at all...i think rondo has to go now, danny basically ripped his heart out with this, he deserves a fresh start with a new team, a young team like the nets would be a good fit in my opinion

Congratz LALAKERSMAN..... you guys keep getting great trades to keep you relevant. I take my hat off to Kupchak and West before him, they have done some amazing stuff. Any chance the Celtics trade DA for Kupchak?

    Wink

this makes alot of sense for LA as long as cp3's knee holds up, if not, they just traded their best pf and nba's best 6th man for nothing...but if cp3 stays healthy, they will be contenders for many years to come

You really think another team is gonna take on that contract when Orlando can just declare amnesty? Even if the Lakers want to pay a premium for DH and had another contract to make it doable, that would mean the net cost for DH were nearly $35M/yr for the next three years ... UGH!!!

Lakers will still not get by the Thunder. Lakers just gave up their entire size in the trade.

    Posted by Fiercest34
You said the Lakers couldn't get Paul .... eh?

Slide to #25 ... he slid to #37 after being projected in the first round. Besides, he was only one of maybe five players I liked for the C's at their spot so stop trying to spin the facts as usual.

Let's hope so, but thought I heard a couple days ago that the Nets were courting Tyson Chandler which may make D. Will want to stay provided that they don't land DH next year.

I remember DA saying last summer that he had a plan A, B, and C pending the lockout. My thought is that the new CBA must have negated one of those plans for the C's and now CP3 going to LA is another plan gone awry, so I just hope his last plan is still in play for this season and beyond.

i dont think D-will is that far off cp3 and he would have more talent to play with here then cp3 will have in LA, besides kobe of course. i sure hope they get either williams or dwight, both would be great

Williams and DH are in the Mavs plans ... that's why they let Chandler walk ... seems like a few GM's are in on the "DH now decision" but Fierce.

In other words, the Magic would still have to pay Gilbert Arenas because the amnesty only removed his salary from the salary cap. The contract still stands! Ugh!
    Posted by Fiercest34
Who's paying his salary, you or the Orlando Magic? If they want cap space they can amnesty him ... If they can't afford to pay him they they will have to play him or trade him for an expiring contract.

    Posted by Fiercest34
He slid furthur ... Pffft!

Did I get what right? It wasn't about right ... it was about players I liked and thought could help the C's at #25 ... as I recall he was like my 4th or 5th preference ... You fail to mention my top three, thats why your a spinner!

If that's so then how will the Mavs get Williams or DH via trade? I mean if the Mavs are going to end up with DH or D-Will or both, wouldn't the Mavs have to wait for July 1, 2012? I mean the Mavs have no pieces to offer after losing Chandler and Butler, right?
    Posted by Fiercest34
HAHAHA .... Please .... the Mavs have no players? Right? Besides, if you're right, the Mavs may be the one team willing to take on Arenas & DH in a trade now and amnesty Arenas if need be. What, Orlando can't trade DH now?
