[QUOTE]In Response to Paul Pierce is the league’s best post player : Carl Landry was ranked 2nd best post player. This is some pretty funny stuff.

It's based on points per possession of post up plays.

What would you like it based on instead?

Re: Paul Pierce is the league’s best post player

Carl Landry is a money post bucket as long as he isn't being asked to do it as the 1st or 2nd option vs. consistently tall players. Put him on a team that needs a 3rd scoring 17/7 and he will star for you. Get 24 when his defender is 6'9" or shorter and 14 when he is 6'10" taller.

Pierce has long been known to be a player who will age well. His game was never above the rim. Sure he could explode for dunks all the time, but that was just the cherry on top of the multi-talented game of a professional scorer. And even at 34 with an MCL injury Paul made sure to show the world he can still finish with two NASTY dunk vs. Philly.

He is so strong for his size, his footwork is fantastic, that it both helps him in the paint and when defending the younger/bigger SF's that he does so well against. He's also become a 39% 3 point shooter the past 6 years, after being in the 34% range at the start of his career (you know, the Kobe range from 3).

Paul is also one of the most clutch players in the game, with a shooting percentage in late game situations 2nd only to Melo, and is especially good from 3, as we saw vs. the Heat in game 5 this year. Kobe meanwhile is well documented as being a choke artist of late, not hitting a clutch playoff shot since '06 (!!!) and stealing Gasol's MVP after his 6-24 debacle vs. the Allens in game 7.

" How did he let Kobe explode for 15 rebounds that game?"

Kobe shot horribly in that game, and in fact his shooting in that game forecasted him shooting the Lakers out of the playoffs the following seasons. A Laker fan like you must have found that frustrating given you had the better team but Kobe wouldn't pass the ball. That's never been an issue on the Celtics, another reason why being a real Celts fan is so much better than being a SOCKPUPPET.

Why the moderators let you hang around here is baffling.

p.s. if you'd like more info on sockpuppetry you may enjoy reading about yourself here:

[QUOTE]The Non-MVP of game 7 was clearly Garnett. 3 freakin rebounds? How did he let Kobe explode for 15 rebounds that game? Oh well, I have learned to deal with disappointment as a Celtics Lifer. I love PP and hope he plays for another 5 years.

Its really sad my Laker team are such a individualistic team.  My boy Kobe only cares about 1 thing,  thats being "the man".    I felt sad for him as he found out and most of us already knew he had no business on the Olympic team. Everyone  was calling for Iggy.  Of course Kobe had that one half where we were beating a team handily and he hit of few threes and he felt good again.  Fools gold.  I love Kobe but he is starting to hurt my team.  If only he wouold pass the ball.  My Laker team did have a good player in the olympics and his name was Pau.

The truth!!!!!! PP is so sneaky good. Im surprised, but not really at the same time. Only PP can do that. Save for the best defenders in the league lebron, iggy and deng, their are really no guys who can contain him even at this stage in his career. Gotta luv that old man game. He can shoot, go right or left , finish with either hand, spin move, step back. He can really do it all on the offensive end and hes also a good defensive player too. Still one of the better 2 way players in the league.

Oh my, how the mighty have fallen!

    From Faniq.com:

"Expanding upon T.J. Simers piece in the Sunday Los Angeles Times, Kobe has become the biggest obstacle for the Lakers entering the next two seasons. His declining skills combined with his crippling contract make it impossible to move him (I know, trading Kobe?! Unthinkable). But listen for just a second. He is no longer the Kobe that we used to know. Everyone can agree on that. He's also due to earn close to $30 million in each of the next two seasons which not only makes him immovable, but also cripples the Lakers financially as they are unable to attract free agents without the financial wherewithal to make it happen"

Instead of taking the summer off, Kobe decided to play on the Olympic team, taking a roster spot from a younger player! He looked really slow in London, and I am guessing we have seen the last of his dominance!

In 6-short weeks, your former star player will report to camp, along with a PG with a bad back, a C that can't play, a PF that can't lead, a SF that will likely be in jail, and a coach that got fired by the Cavs, feeling tired and old!

On a brighter note, at least you will be able to watch a healthy DH play during the 2013 - 2014 NBA season, in Dallas!
