RasualButler45 receives buyout from LA Clippers tonight and will be a free agent after clearing waivers, source tells Y! Sports.

    Three Best Bets:

    1) T Murphy /> Not active tonight (???)
    2) R Butler /> Waiver wire in process
    3) L Powe /> Waiver wire in process

    Alternates: C.Brewer (???) M. Bibby (???)

Butler is eyeing the Bulls and Powe is talking Grizzlies.

If the Celts get Murphy and Bibby then like Johnny Most said, "It's all over! It's all over!"

    I'd like Brewer over Butler

brewer can play great D on SG's in the small amout of mins we'd actually need him... butler is more of a scorer who plays the Green role but of course nowhere near as well

Did not know Bibby was going to be bought out, but he would be a good pickup

Washington Wizards guard Mike Bibby(notes): The Wizards acquired Bibby in a trade that sent Kirk Hinrich(notes) to the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday, and sources close to the veteran point guard said he wasn’t happy about going from a playoff team to a rebuilding situation. One league source said Bibby might try to pursue a buyout even though he’s owed $6.4 million next season, in addition to the remainder of this season’s $5.8 million salary. The potential hang-up: Unless Bibby surrenders significant money, the Wizards might want to keep him.

If Bibby becomes a free agent, the Miami Heat, Celtics, Portland Trail Blazers and New York Knicks could line up as suitors.

Leon Powe: Powe got his release from the Cavs yesterday and is expected to re-join the Celtics once he clears waiver.

Powe was a favorite of Celtics coach Doc Rivers, and with three open roster spots the Celtics have room to add a player like Powe.

Bibby is worse than DWest and has had his moments trashing Celtics fans in the past...

Murphy, Powe and Brewer would be awesome

Where would all these players find minutes?  That would mean the starters minutes could/should dip to under thirty if we have a bench that included SHAQ, JON, Wafer, West, Green,  Murphy, and possibly Bibby.  Sounds intriuging.

Only reason Bibby would be considered is as insurance for West who has been injury prone ...  should he go down the entire burden would rest on Rondo and Bradley ...  Bibby & Brewer are longshots for a buyout.

If the Celts get Murphy Von Wafer will be the odd man out. Because Jeff Green will play less PF and more SF and SG.

KG's backup will be Big Baby and Shaq will be backed up by Murphy. If Shaq is not available Krstic starts. In effect Krstic will be the 3rd string Center. Most probably we'll be seeing a lot of Murphy and Davis with the 2nd unit.

Danny likes his wings ... expect a big push for Butler.

I think you're right about Green playing more of his natural position at the SF except in Posey situations when you want to go small with Green at PF and KG at C.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Murph be used like BBD splitting time at both PF and C but in any event Wafer is the odd man out especially if Butler can be had.

Wouldn't you parlay Shaq with Jermaine on the first team and Kristic with the 2nd team as they are in need of his offense?
