Brad Stevens and the players will not tank.

It's Ainge who made sure the Celts will not make the playoffs this season.

Right now it's highly unlikely the Celts will make the playoffs.

It's just a question of how bad are the Celtics going to be.

Tonight we saw good games from the "tradables", Lee, Wallace, and Bass.

Without those 3, the Celts would've lost last night.

It's just a question of when can Ainge trade them, not if Ainge trades them.

If you don't think the Celts are going to be bad this season, just wait until after the trade deadline.

    [/QUOTE]

Agree.  If Danny really wants the Celtics to lose even more games and end up with one of the top draft picks he may indeed trade some of the current players.  It also depends on whether a playoff team wants any of the 3 players that you mentioned.  It is also possible that Rondo will be traded once he returns and proves that he can contribute.  We just don't know when that will be.

"Losing breeds losing.        Tankers don't prosper.  "

    That's such total BS.

The Spurs had their all time worst season, drafted Tim Duncan, and won the NBA championship the following year. Losing bred a championship.

You win with superstars in the NBA - no team without a superstar has won since the Pistons.

The Celts won their championship because of assets they obtained while tanking.

The only teams that can avoid tanking are those that are highly attractive to free agents due to location (Miami, Texas, LA).

Otherwise your choices are tanking or extended mediocrity and early playoff exits

I wouldnt say the Spurs tanked that season to get Duncan... They lost their best player, HOF David Robinson for the season and naturally werent much of a team. They were gonna be bad no matter what..... The next season they got back Robinson and added the next HOFer, arguably greatest PF in Duncan and won a title.

I wouldnt call that tanking, more injury related.

With one game left in Nov, I got a decent shot at my 8 win prediction for the C's... Next up is the lowly Milwaukee Bucks @ 2-13..

So playing poorly equals tanking?? Hmm..

You can be bad w/o tanking, you know. That was the case for Cs in the year(s) before the big 3.

Celtics will be better than last year and win at least one round in the playoffs. 8-11,probably 9-11 after tonight, considering we have 4 players in new roles/positions, a first year coaching team, played more games the 1st month of the season than any team ever and our best player hasn't even been cleared for full contact practice, I'm saying we're on target.

Without Olynyk the Celtics make the playoffs easily.

The Eastern Conference is the worst in the history of the league.

    74 games remaining.

Those who want to be a part of this thread you're welcome to do so.

I say the Celts win 5 games this November.

Last game for November is at Milwaukee, Nov. 30.

So what you guys think, how many games will the Celts win this November?

Just like when Fungus was yet dead wrong again when he predicted and made a bet (which he did not pay) that the Celtics wouldn't make the playoffs.

I and a few others missed it by 1 win.  Cs just didn't shoot well against the zone against the Bucks, one of the sorriest teams in the league.

Fierce, are you going to have a December contest?

Red Sox 2013 World Series Champs.  Patriots 2014 Super Bowl Champs???!!!
