...to bad. They played with heart.

Turn over after turn over at crunch time.

I think that I will wait until tomorrow to comment further.

The last ride of the Big three... While happy endings are always better, I am thankful that we had 2008, and a great Celtic team to be proud of.

Thank you KG, Paul, and Ray, it has been a pleasure. It will be a long time until the Celtics can approach what you guy brought to the table.

he didn't change it.  What are you talking about?  He had West in all quarter so no Rondo.  He had Green in most of the time.  He had Ray and paul in + KG.  What better lineup would we have than KG, Green, Paul, Ray, and West??????????

The players threw the ball away and the refs game Miami all the help they could use and Miami played tougher than we did down the stretch.   Stop trying to think the outcome would be different by some one player player 2 or 3 more minutes.

I guess you missed that shot garnet took at wade and the refs let it slide. Garnet should had been tossed out of the game like a cessar salad just like pierce got tossed.

But if they exit garnet out of the game it would not have been that close.

Garnet punched wade...At least it should had been a tech but nothing at all.
Ray could have made a difference in the 4th but missed everything... The end of the game was a disaster but the refs helped prime that... the anguish the Celtic players must have felt knowing what was going on out there with the refs had to wear on them.. They know what goes on, IM sure... and they musta knew there was no chance the refs were gonna let them win unless they outplayed the HEat by 20 points.
Posted by Karllost
Yup.  It breaks my heart for the players to play that hard and know the refs just were NOT going to give them ANY calls on offense NOR on defense.  Miami get every touch foul and Pierce went to the hole and got none.

The Heat didn't win, the Celtics lost - too many turnovers to counter the way the game was called.  Take away the excessive turnovers there wasn't a game that should have been lost.  The Celtics had more class, played fair, and simply had too few healthy bodies or it could have been another sweep. Miami had benefit of more foul shots, bad calls, and never seemed to dominate the game (even though Wade, aided and abetted, did whatever he wanted to do - like push straight through legal picks, the punk).

Sad, sad, sad...but inevitable. They looked more like a triage unit than a basketball team at the end.
I'd love to know what was going on with Kevin. He looked gassed and hurt, but I'm guessing we won't hear about it from him.

They had to play a near perfect game for 48 minutes. They came about as close as I imagined they would.

I don't know if words exist to explain the end of that game.

I am numb, Please somebody provide me something. What did I just witness?
Buckner missed "a ball", he just didn't pick it up.
Scott Norwood missed "a Kick", didn't hit it right.
Chris Webber called "a timeout" didn't have one.

This might be the worst 2 minutes of basketball Ever played.
Might be the worst 2 minutes of sports ever played.

I don't know if the outcome would have been worse if the Celtics had no one on the court for that period.

Jeff Green, might not be in the N.B.A next year, he just cost himself more money than everyone on this message board will make combined in their life time.

If you drew up a perfect way to blow a ballgame you could not have scripted what happened.

Please, is the answer Jesus or Xenu or Alaa, please someone tell me.

Blame the refs.

It was Ainge that killed this team. Trading 5 players when you had the best record in the East. Ainge should resign. Worse trades ever.

Wade initiated that the same way he did with Pierce in game 2.......and he did when he hit Ray.....and he did when he took Rondo down......and - well, you get my point.  I'm sure with your signon name, you'll disagree.   I think the Heat outplayed the C's at the end of the game.  They hit big shots and outhustled us like they did in Game 4.  They deserve to win.  But, they don't deserve to have the refs give them the helping hand that they go.

In an moment of honesty, even YOU have to admit they got the break on WAY too many calls.  How can a ref call a foul on Krstic at standing there with his hands up, or Delonte jumping by wade and wade gets the call with no contact, or Paul going to the basket at the end and gets no call on the collision while Wade got every touch call.   There are always some bad calls - they're human.  But, there were WAY too many in Miami's favor because Wade and Lebron are the glamor boys.

Did you listen to Reggie's broadcast?  He was sucking up so hard I thought he'd hurt his jaws!!!

The NBA should be ashamed!

Don't forget Lebron's three from Chris Bosh's out of bounds pass or baby's and one on a phantom walking call.

overall i think we just fell short. we were fighting the heat and the refs at the same time but we fought hard and well until jones hit that trey. from then on we already lost it.

it was a good 3 and half quarters for the C's.
much respect to them, they never quit.

congrats to the heat. lebron won it. hands down.

"like a cessar salad"... LOL - did your Dad teach you that new phrase this morning?

No, Garnett gave Wade a good, high shot. Just like Wade did to Allen and Pierce on multiple occasions.

You guys won, but you also took 47 more free throws over the course of the series and had key calls go your way that changed the outcomes of games.

i agree that kristyc foul was a fantom foul...I said wow...definetely not  a foul.

But i have to say calls went both ways today. These refs are only human. Maybe they are too old for this job. Maybe they are to hire some younger refs.

Maybe, look the Heat deserved to win this series. Lebron played great. hats off, he played at a higher level than I have ever seen him play. So congratualtions. I think the officating was bad tonight but such is life. I love the effort my team put forth. I'm glad we didn't go out like the Lakers did.
