In Response to Re: RONDO IS NOT DOING UBUNTU!
[QUOTE]A lot of back and forth on Rondo going on, with both sides having valid points. Just as I thought a year ago with Perk that we'd see by the trade deadline what the front office thought about him, for this off season we will not only see what they think about the current roster, we'll see how valued these players (especially Rondo) are viewed by the league. For this series it is difficult to blame any one player. When you look at the matchups at any point in the game can you point to one where you say "damn, we can go at this and exploit it?" No matter who the Heat have on the floor (Anthony, Jones, etc) I haven't seen any Celtic capable of dominating them offensively. It is disturbing that Rondo cannot keep a geriatic Bibby in front of him when Bibby has the ball, still going for the poke from behind. But he (Rondo) is hardly the only culprit. Oh, and those multiple iso's to Davis after going down 83 - 80 was tantamount to waving a surrender flag. If that's the best offensive option, then it's time to go fishing. The off-season; where the real fun starts.

jallen, you said it perfectly.
Also, people just cant compare 80 pts vs 36 pts for the Big 3's and start pointing fingers.. For one thing Lebron & Wade control the ball 90% of the tim when the HEat are on offense... our Big 3 maybe 50%.... the balls in ROndos hands and his job is to set them up with good shots..
I dont wanna hear about triple doubles or almost triple doubles... it means nothing... especially when your stats get padded in garbage time.
Bottom line to me in this series is the Celtic coaching... I have to lay alot of blame on Doc.. the Heat players were ready & hungry.... they had a plan to trap PP whenever he touches the ball... its working
Doc continued to stay with BBD as he continued his 2 month swoon of horrible play... missed layup after missed layup against a tiny HEat frontline... not even drawing fouls... while JON rotted on the bench... and JON was having an impact game.
Not to leave out Jeff Green... who carried us in the 1st half when Pierce was out... he had his offensvie game going and naturally, got splinters all 2nd half on the bench
Rondo reverting back to his hard drives into the lane and backpeddling to the foul line begging to make a pass... no threat to go to the rim and the Heat saw it.. Rondo is quick enuf to blow by Bibby for a layup or create switches and open teammates... instead he pulls up and allows the defense to remain set..
Why does he do this 3 of every 6 games?? Ask DOc...
Doc has it in his head that BBD is gonna be the man no matter how poorly he plays or hos good JON plays... its gonna be BBD cause thats what DOc wrote on his clipboard I guess...
So frustrating to watch
