We held onto our aging players for too long. Now we've got two really old former all-stars, rondo and probably green that teams might be interested in. Doc seems to be attracting the most attention. If we can strap KG and PP to him and move all three, that's our best move. The question is whether Danny will blink. Hopefully not. Hold out for Jordan AND Bledsoe and a pick or two. That's our best play now.
Doc apparently heads the coming firesale, attracting the most attention.
DA's dilemma is that he cannot let doc suit up to coach this team next season.
He simply cannot w/o being the laughing stock of the NBA.
W/o a face (neck) saving deal, DA is wearing the noose.
Does DA blink now or does he hang later?
He blinks to save his neck.
What you say is right on the money. Just add that Doc betrayed Ainge and put him in this position. I was a Doc guy all the way and he became Phil Jackson overnight.
[/QUOTE]I didn't realize that doc is now the highest paid NBA coach.
Apparently as the highest paid coach, he desires a better venue to coach in. Otherwise he goes thru the motions and collects his $7mil paycheck.... forcing DA to do what?
Fire him? Trade him? Buy him out?
Now that's big timmin' it!
Regarding CWB's point, no one is angry that DA is using his leverage to get what he can for doc.
We're PO'd that DA has so little leverage to use.
