In response to Fiercest34's comment:
On the contrary, if you use my logic that means you're agreeing with what I'm saying.
Proof of that is if the Lakers didn't get Bynum with the #10 pick in 2005, there would be no Dwight Howard to the Lakers deal, right?
Use your logic simply to contradict your own claim, not that I agree with what you are saying.
Your logic: losing is losing. Then losing game 7 in the CF is no different from losing 1-4 in the 2nd round true or false?
True? then the Celtics in 2012 is no better than Lakers in 2012
False? then the Lakers reaching the finals is better than the Celtics losing in an early round, say, in 2004.
Take your pick.
So what if they get Howard in 2012, according to you, the Lakers are a crappy team even with Howard. So by missing the playoffs, they got Bynum, who got traded for a player that turns the Lakers to a crappy team. In other words, missing the playoffs in 2005 => Lakers become a crappy team (by your logic).
So by your logic, missing the playoffs => crappy team.
In other words, missing the playoffs is not comparable to losing in the finals. Your logic.
