Strike-SHORTENED season would be perfect for the Celtics

I don't want to overlook Game 5, but I doubt that the Celtics have three great games left in them and I think that even if they play their best the Heat can still beat them at least once out of three chances.
I think next season could be perfect for the Celtics if they keep their current core together just one more time.
There would be less games, meaning less wear and tear on old legs
Also there would be one or two months' extra rest heading into the season, allowing the beat up Celtics the time to recover from their injuries this year (particularly Rondo, who would be the most important piece, for better or worse)
Thoughts? Too soon? I'm still rooting for the Celtics - I'm just not optimistic right now, so this seemed like a good topic to broach
