The 2013 NBA just became weaker again today.

Last week a sure top 3 pick (Smart) said he was staying in school and today 3 players projected to be in the top 15 decided to stay in school. This is not good news for teams looking for a young player that could give them a few decent minutes per game.

If we simply remove Marcus Smart (No. 2 on Big Board) and those who decided today -- Gary Harris (No. 10), Glenn Robinson III (No. 14) and Mitch McGary (No. 15) -- and slide everyone else up, here's what the updated Top 15 would look like:

    1. Nerlens Noel
    2. Ben McLemore
    3. Otto Porter
    4. Anthony Bennett
    5. Victor Oladipo
    6. Trey Burke
    7. Alex Len
    8. Shabazz Muhammad
    9. Michael Carter-Williams
    10. Cody Zeller
    11. C.J. McCollum
    12. Kelly Olynyk
    13. Gorgui Dieng
    14. Mason Plumlee
    15. Dario Saric

Sadly the lakers don't have a pick next year either.  Looks like they'll have amnesty poor Kobe, and Dwight will still leave.

Plenty of talent there, at the very low cost of a rookie contract. Beats 10 million a year for Steve Nash's corpse.

    Plenty of talent there? LOL.

    What about at #16?

At least Non-Fab Melo will have a new guy to sit next to on the bench.

Sure talent always emerges. They'll be fine. Fab is going to be fine player in a few years and he'll be cheap. Sadly no draft picks for the crappy lakers.
