The Celtics are much better without Olynyk

    The veterans proved that tonight.

Here are the stats for the doubters....

To early to make that judgement .think back.....other examples....i remember S Pippen's first season.....he wasnt setting the world on fire either......BUT if he would not have played and gained experience.....it is likely the bulls would not have been as sucessful

Don't get me wrong. If Oly plays and stinks, we get a better draft pick.

If he doesn't play and we win, well, we win.

It's a win, win, either way.

BCSP, you cannot be comparing KO to Scottie Pippen?

There is something to the concept of slowly bringing along a rookie allowing him to watch the game.  KO will become a fine NBA player but every minute he plays and Hump sits, that's a minute of tanking.

Hump will probably be gone by the trade deadline anyway so then KO will be ready to step in for the balance of the season.  In the meantime, he'll have ample time to see the game and get some minutes but we all know KO is playing because winning isn't our priority right now.

petey...no comparison.....i was attempting to make the point there is value in giving playing time to rookies........pippen got playing time....and his production just about doubled year over year.....play them and you might just develop them.....dont play them..might as well trade them

developing players is the Cs priority right now...or did i miss something

I think we can win 14 games by the 1st of the year. Now does Danny think the team will be better when Rondo returns thus wanting to lose now?  It seems like the schedule gets tougher come the new year and the losses should mount despite Rondo and especially if Rondo isn't 100% and needs time to find his game again. Any trades after 12/15 will just make the team more unstable and take more time to regain chemistry. Seems like we s/b showcasing the vets and win now hoping to make some trades and get some new pieces for a 2nd half of the year reconfiguration that surely wouldn't jel in time to win enough games to push us out of the lottery.

Hmm I think we're much better when our competition is mediocre.

Also Bass had one of his rare decent games, if Bass had played like crud as he often does, you might not be posting this tonight.

Not sure if you are more interested in winning meaningless games this season but I'm more interested in player development. Bass is right up against his ceiling, we have no idea what KOs ceiling is yet and if you think you do then that is ridiculous.

Plus, KOs presence keeps runrunrun from posting his racial diatribes here so that's a huge bonus. :)

Well KO will be out two weeks now with that ankle so maybe we can raise Bass's ceiling a pinch in order to work a trade.

Whatever Danny gets for him ... I'm off the Asik bandwagon but if we get him that's ok for the time being. As you know I'm firmly in the Hawes camp now with the TPE running out in July I see this as a trade that works for both teams and will sit on it until another center is acquired. I like Drummond first but don't see Detroit making that deal even for Rondo but if Danny can pull it off ... BINGO!!!

So why don't you become a Sixer fan?

Before the season started it was Cole Aldrich.

    Last month it was Asik.

    Now it's Hawes?

Who will it be next month?

Make up your mind old fool!

    HAHAHA

Hey, I'd still like to have Aldrich ... Hawes/Fav/Aldrich works for me!
