Wonder how much he would want as Defensive Coordinator.  With the lakers already paying Brown 4 mill, and now 4 mill for D'Antoni......................that's a lot of money for coaching!

As The Times reported Tuesday night, Brown is expected to sign a deal worth about $4.5 million a season over four years for a total of about $18 million. The last year is a team option, which means Brown would get paid $2.5 million of his salary if he is not retained.

Guess it doesn't matter - the point is, they are spending a lot of money for coaching, and to add McMillan won't be cheap!

Try to stay on the main topic!!

Sure, but think of the money saved by choosing D'Antoni over PJ. ;)

    Another mis-step Mr. Lamarr?

    Mike Brown was making $6m/year.

    http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2012/11/9/3623584/los-angeles-lakers-mike-brown-fired

The Lakers ownership group is not concerned about the cost of buying out the contract of former head coach Mike Brown, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Citing sources, Wojnarowski states that the club has made it clear that they will be able to buy out the $11 million remaining on Brown's contract and will still be able to invest in a new head coach.

In most places, 6 mil is MORE than 4 mil...you keep making other's pts and then

think you are right...man, get a clue...what's with the phoney 34wheelchair..??Not fooling anyone..please...

Ugh, this is proof that someone has zero knowledge about the sport and is just vomiting up headlines in a controversial sounding way to get attention... MacMullan!?!?!?

Nate McMillan, the former LONG time player and coach should never have his name butchered that badly by anyone w/ a clue about the NBA.

What a liar, I think I maybe started ONE thread last week, thats it, I never start ANY BS threads like you do all day every day... The Karl Rove, Tim Tebow, Rex Ryan, Hope Solo... blah blah blah OTHER TEAMS off topic gossip page junk you bring up is truly worthless.

But at least you recognized yourself as someone starving for negative attention, we can all see it as well, now the next thing is taking the steps to solve the problem you obviously have.

and nobody could possibly 'mistype' McMillan's name that badly... glad you googled one fact about him after multiple people commented on that train wreck.

The Lakers should hire Hope Solo and Tebow to come off there bench. They'd be an improvement over what they have now. Damn Han Solo would be an improvement lol.

Any GM or Owner seeking approval from his players on a hire is weak in the first place. If they're looking for a concensus then theres no need for a GM... just put it to a vote of players... so lame.

I think Dantoni is an awful hire..  His run and gun style by definition forces a no defense style. Bring in all the defensive coaches you want, wont help much.  When youre chucking 3's up with only 7 seconds run off the clock, you're gonna be in transition h3ll defensively...  If you dont already know that from watching Dantonis Suns/Knicks teams then not much to say.
