The Heat are just better,so stop blaming Rondo

I told you this ,before the series started.

I seen the signs, when Garnett started getting blocked by 6 feet 8 unathletic guys going for dunks. Garnett can't finish over anyone or score inside.

I watched Lebron shut down Paul last year.
I watched Wade torch the Celtics last year.
I knew Lebron would be an awesome team player, and he is an awesome defensive player too boot.

But Rondo has to take some blame and maybe more than others...I could care less if he misses 10 footers or misses a lay up or two...but when he acts like he does not care and adds nothing to the huddle or in the locker room then have him pack his bags and head to greener pastures....he aint buying into what has gotten them to the championship...Ubuntu!  This won't do next year when we make a final push!

Right notrade, Rondo is playing hard and fearlessly, which is more than I think can be said for the others outside of Jermaine and Green. Also, why did Krystic look like a Tiger when he got here but a mouse now; who is that on? Ubuntu left the building a long time ago...and seems to have shown up in LeBron's selfless and smart team play of all people.

You're absolutely correct. This series isnt over ... IF you remember the 80's when the C's demolished the Lakers  in Boston, it looked like there was no chance that team had against us...uh oh, things changed quickly.

We can still win this series and down 0-2 is tough but not insurmountable. This Celtic team is capable of pulling it off....  they still have the talent... I think its more a matter of strategy and the right personnel

Karl do you remember that 1981 series against the 76'ers?  It was a series where every game after we went down 3 to 1 was gutted out thanks to Larry Bird.

Doc said at it at the press conference he needs to do his job better. The Heat did not overnight become an unbeatable giant.  They are a race car flirting with a break down at any moment.  Glad to see you not going Jonestown with so many of the others here.

The series is far from over, but I have to say that I am impressed with LeBron's showing so far.  I didn't think the Heat had the bench to beat the Celts this year, but I could be wrong.

On Rondo, take more shots.  Too many times was he in the lane and only looking to pass.  That's my only complaint.  Oh maybe one more - yell at the vets who want to stand around on the perimeter.

    Karl,

Nail on the head.  This isn't a player thing; this is a coaching thing - strategy and personnel.  Couldn't agree more!!!

Larry Bird cannot be brought into the equation. That Celtic team was much younger and could bring tons more energy than this team can do due to advanced age. The Heat are overmatching and outworking the Celtics, and Wade is on Peformance Enhancing Drugs. Can the C's older players find some HGH before Saturday? I hope so! Put in a call to Stalone!

[QUOTE]I have to agree..........there were times during the first 2 games when the Celtics carried out their game plan to play inside basketball because we controlled the height.........We had 2 7 footers JO and KG in the paint and the tallest heat play was 6 9......we got the ball right under the basket at least 4-5 times and got blocked each time..........I don't think anyone can disagree that the Heat are quicker and faster than we are and their hand speed is also better.....which is why when we try to play inside out basketball the ball always gets punched away......when you get the ball under the basket you HAVE to score.....no ifs ands or buts......that is the only way we can get easy baskets against the Heat........when that doesn't happen we are in for a long game. Watching the first two games last night it really felt like you were watching an over 40 league team playing a college team........we just aren't quick enough anymore......we can't jump anymore.........and we can't run anymore.......we have the mental ability of knowing what we want to do and don't have the physical ability of carrying it out..........I am afraid that the torch is being passed in this series and that next year we need to blow up the team and start rebuilding..........It has been said that when Danny put this team together he knew it would only be for 3 years........we got 4 years and that was good.......I thoroughly enjoyed watching the green again.........but watching them know is like the commercial says "when the time is right" and you have no viagra......

I agree with you.  Next year this team is another year older and Miami, New York and Chicago are going to be even better.  We will be lucky to end up 6th or 7th seed.

History is definitely on the Cs side - in the nine series where they have been down 2 to zip, they have come back ONCE in history and in was only 42 years ago.  In 1969 they were down 2 zip and came back to win the finals, so yeah it seems really likely that they will beat a team 4 out of 5 especially since it is the same team to which they have lost 3 straight in the couple of weeks.

i think all the optimism on here is a waste of time. the c's are no match for the heat right now...plain and simple. we may squeeze out one victory...other than that, we're toast.

I agree.  Game 3 will tell all!  But, as a Clevelander, I was really hoping you guys would stop LeBron's quest for a title!  If Heat go through you, I don't know who will stop them!

Mainly because Kristic isn't playing. I'm still trying to figure why Doc doesn't play him and continures to put BBD on the court. And for those of you calling out Jeff Green and Delonte West, you are obviously clueless. These guys actually tried playing defense. Where is KG on the back side? That was horrible.

The C's need to stop playing tentative and Doc needs to ride a hot hand...any hot hand at this point. There was no reason for PP to come out the locker room and go right in the game when Green was playing exceptionally well. It just ruined the flow in my opinion.

I will wait to see one more game before I declare the series over.

I haven't seen the usual composed, veteran-led Celtics squad show up yet.  They're pressing and are out of synch.  Something is missing -- TA or Perk maybe.  It's hard to put a finger on it.  The best way I can sum it up is that they look rattled and tentative when their strength is usually making the other team play that way.
