think nets are rethinking their decision to hire kidd?

you make major "all in" moves like they did yesterday, you are in win NOW mode. they have mortgaged their future to win big in the next year or two. they've acquired two all-stars who are near retirement. they have traded away 1st round picks. but they're going to trust all that to jason kidd, who's never coached a game before in his life? seems risky.

the other thing is that their window if very small, so those pics in '16 and '18 could be valuable.

And the swap in '17.  Their window is small but their other 3 starters are locked up for a long time and their owner is willing to spend.  Will any of these picks be in the top 5?  Let's hope so.

Jason Kidd will have a great staff of assistants to help him.

Lawerance Frank being one of them.

more likely, Kidd will the 13th man.  If an injury happens, he will be activated to run the point.  Bringing back the old school player-coach position.

    HA!

You're crazy to think that the Nets will ever get to the lottery ... even in 2018. There is no reason to "get bad" for them if they don't even have their own picks.

As another poster stated elsewhere on this board, the value of these picks is that they can be packaged with our own to move up in the draft, which as we saw last night (and in the past), Danny loves to move around on Draft night.

Our future is looking pretty good, if you ask me. Brandon and Lee are good players. They should be packaged for a bad contract and another first round pick, if possible (likely protected).

the nets will be done as soon as PP and KG are. joe johnson is already on the decline. they will have lopez and an aging williams. that's not a playoff team.

but of course having lots of picks is great for moving up. especially when you can "buy" 2nd round picks like we did last night.
