Trade Rondo to Utah

Here are a few deals that may work.

    Hire Brett Brown as HC

To the Jazz - Rondo, Wallace, Crawford, Future #1

To the Celtics - Trey Burke, Hayward, S&T Big Al

The Jazz get a top 5 PG, they can keep/buy out Wallace and they get a #1

Trade  Humphries (expiring deal), Bass and Lee to Atlanta

    S&T For Josh Smith

    Celtics starters

    PG-Trey Burke

    SG-Gordon Hayward

    SF-Jeff Green

    PF-Josh Smith

    C-Big Al

Off the Bench - AB, Brooks, Sully, Olynk

That team is young and competitive and you still have most of your #1s to move up.

Really how do you figure that? The Jazz get a top PG instead of a rookiethey just drafted. They get a #1 from a team that may have a high draft pick and they can buy out Wallace. They don't lose Big Al for nothing.

The Hawks get a $12M expiring deal in Humphries and a PF to replace Smith in Bass.

There is nothing wrong with this deal for all teams involved. There could be pieces added but the bottom line is the Celtics should target Burke and Big Al. Hayward is a gritty good scorer. Burke is going to be a top PG without the attitude...plus he's Sully's best friend. :-)

The Hawks deal is icing on the cake. The main deal is with Utah. If they have a young team then getting Rondo...a vet PG with a ring helps them vs a rookie.

Wrong, teams that want to win now don't want to give up assets to get Rondo...it's not getting them over the hump. Plus, with Utah they have a strong HC in Corbin, Sloan and Malone are also art of the front office.

It's a good deal for Utah, especially when a go like MoWill is telling them he will resign only if he starts. They need a vet PG.

    Rondo

    Burks

    Wallace

    Millsap

    Favors/Canter

Ainge will start moving those #1 picks if he can get bonafide NBA talent. Why not take 9 #1s over 5 years and flip it into 5 better picks in 3 years or bonafide NBA Free Agents.

It wouldn't be wise to keep #1 picks from 2017 & 2018. They are good to have but no one is trying to build for 4 years from now...most teams want to be competitive within 2 years.

    That's a crappy team.

    Burks is not a shooter.

    Wallace is not a shooter.

    Rondo is not a shooter.

    HAHAHA

Um, hello that's why you have FA and they have that #1 pick we would give them. They don't have a good team now but at least they have a good PG and Millsap to build on.

Give me an example of a rebuilding team that went to the Finals in 2 years.

That's the plan but trust me no one builds for 4 years from now. No ownership is going to give you that long. Look at the turnover in coaches and it's not always about making it to the Finals. Did you know there have only been like 6 different teams to even play in the Finals the last 15 years. It's about are you getting better every year and do you have the pieces in place to win.

It's not building 4 years from now. The Celtics will accumulate assets for the next 3 years.

If the Celts can get all the pieces in 3 years, they will need another 3 years to develop. It's by year 7 that a rebuilding team can start fighting for a championship.

But if the Celts will have no luck in getting another superstar, this rebuild would take longer than 10 years.

Remember, the Celts would have to beat superstars of the future like Kyrie Irving and Derrick Rose in the east and Harden and Durant in the west.

The Celtics will not win another championship without a superstar.
YOU'RE CRAZY if you think a rebuild is going to take 7 years with all their assets...c'mon man. I think this team will be ready in 3 years. Keep in mind stars in the league get older. A 7 year rebuild...you're kidding me. In this age of "no patience" by owners and a ton of asets you think they will sit on those picks...no way.

Let's just agree to disagree because Rondo to Utah for Burke, Hayward, and Big Al will not happen.
Yes, you can get that package for Rondo. I'm not sure what package you think you could get but none of them are all stars but they are good players. I think you're inflating their value. When you think of Rondo, think of other top PGs don't just think of Rondo because he plays for the Celtics. Would you do that deal for DWill, Parker, Paul, Rose? If anything that may not be enough.

We can expect time for the rebuild....but we can't rule out the possibility of quick good fortune with some unexpected moves

    what about Miami?........2006.....and then 2011-2012

good enough for a 4th seed and 1st or 2nd round playoff knock out.. no thanks! would much rather find a centerpiece in the draft to build around. big Al and josh smith aren't leading their teams to championships anytime soon.

Good catch of that liar Fungus...Making up more stuff to camouflage his ignorance...

Now that you caught him again, look at his response.. "Yeah, but the days of having a Big 3 are over."... which has nothing to do with your instructing the boy how wrong he was about  the gap  between finals appearances..

Good job exposing the fraud and making him spin his ignorance attempting to change the subject

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
