Ukkk! Why were the Celtics so bad?

The C's started out good and beat Miami several times. That playoff was practically the worst playoff of the Celtics. What's wrong with them?Money mouth

    Unfortunately, A LOT.

Hopefully, they'll make the right kind of moves to keep us out of the cellar.  Of course, terrible might be better than mediocrity in this league b/c terrible gives you a better chance at high draft picks,

    Three things:

    1)  They were tired and half a step slow on defense. (For a counterexamnple, see the Bulls last night.)

    2) The bench was way too uneven.

    3) During the course of the season, the Heat learned to play together, mostly.

They're too old. Sorry, but there it is.

Brains and experience can compensate for some things, but the quicker guy will get the ball. This isn't baseball. Speed and quickness is, well... you saw the Bulls.

They still should have beat Miami, but ran out of gas late in every game. The heart and the effort was there, but the legs were gone. They never would have beat Chicago, if that's any consolation.

It happens. Holmes beats Ali.  Tyson beats Holmes... time marchs on, etc.

JMost is right. When the C's had their legs, they were the better team because the C's are/were very high quality players. This is why they had early and even late leads in the games. But they can no longer sustain the effort for a full 48 minutes so...it is now possible for "inferior" teams to put a run on them.

Let's not let the details get in the way of a good story....

Wade missed most of the preseason and the very first game the Heat ever played together was against the Cs, with Shaq, and the Cs won by 8

a few weeks later, with Shaq, the Cs won by 5

Then the third time they played, the Cs won by 3

Then when the Cs had a chance to make a statement by sweeping the season series, the Heat stomped the Cs without Shaq......

so the playoffs should not have been much of a surprise........

I think we need to bring to in Bill Billicheck for consultation seeing as though there isnt gonna be an NFL season this year...

He wouldnt have to say much...  it would go something like this..

"60 MINUTES!!!"  "YOU HERE ME?!?!?! 60, ooops, I mean 48 MINUTES!!!"  "DONT LET UP"    "C'MON YOU CAN DOOOOO ITTTT"   LMAO!

My Poor C's are done....sorry to say.  All the veteran teams hit the floor hard this postseason with a resounding THUD!  All due to age starting with the Spurs and their old leader Duncan, and then the lakers with their star Kobe not able to score more than 20 anymore and our guy K.G. who is only good for one great game a series...but cant seem to put forth a collective effort for 48 minutes...."Time waits for NO man"  and we are only gonna get older and we cant make any big trades...so look to the draft and hope we finally get some luck...

    HERE'S HOW THE C'S FAILED.....

First of all everybody is tired of talking about the trade....but why???  it is the number one reason for the collapse. Danny Ainge had no business making this trade when he did. this was a stupid assanine move.  yes, the trade was inevitable but not when Mr. Ainge damn well pleases.  not only did he disrupt a machine, you single handidly tore it apart.  what did he think Doc was going to be able to do with Mutt & Jeff who are the farthest thing from what Boston needed to complete thier run for #18.  Nenad Krstic might fit in next year if they can toughen him up but Jeff Green is the softest pansy I have ever seen. under pressure he's unreliable like dropping Paul Pierce's pass out of bounds in one of the most critical minutes of game five against Miami. passing up shots that he had to take.  the only time Jeff Green ever contributed is when the game was in the bag and there was no pressure.
Shaq is an albatross, another bad move by Danny Ainge that did more harm then good.
if Ainge had minded his business the Celtics would be playing the bulls tomorrow night in game one of the eastern finals.

the Heat was too athletic for the Celtics??? PLEEEEASE!!!

THE CELTICS, IF LEFT ALONE, WOULD HAVE KICKED THE CRAP OUT OF MIAMI.  MIAMI HAS NO HEART OR SOUL.  THANKS DANNY!!!
