[QUOTE]There are a lot of things the Cs can learn from the Mavs: 1. If your lineups don't work, change them (and start JJ Barea who played poorly over Stevenson who played good). 2. It is ok to bang. Brian Cardinal in game 6 played thougher than the entire C rooster in the series. 3. You can still improve as a veteran. Kidd is a great set shooter now and Dirk can drive to the hoop. 4. You need to spread the floor in the 4th quarter. 5. It is ok to put some pressure on the ball handler of your opponent before the half court.

All great points.  We need bangers, and for Rondo to improve his shooting!

    1.  Get a better bench (shooters)
    2.  Get guys who can rebound
    3.  Learn how to close out 4th quarters

In Games 4 and 5 we could have easily won if we closed out the 4th quarter better.  We didn't and the Heat beat us.  Simple as that.  Christ, if we closed out the 4th quarter in Game 7 of the Finals last year we would be Champions.  Ever since last year we forget how to play in the 4th.  Don't know why.  Don't know if it is Doc's sub patterns or his choice of talent out on the floor at those times but we just cannot close out a 4th quarter anymore.

[QUOTE]Rebounds= Rings. Tyson was getting key boards, marion was boarding, dirk, kidd. You can't win if you can't rebound.

Totally agree.   You want to point to the key difference between the Celts and the Mavs and it was rebounding.

I agree completely, Ric Carlisle was great, and he's another guy who also really deserves this .

have a bench worth having, and then USE IT.  pretty simple, yet utterly beyond the amoeba-like talents of doc rivvurs
