What happened to Stern Hating Cuban and enamored with Three-Headed Monster Heat?

For those conspiracy theorists who are convinced that the Modern NBA is rigged to favor glamour teams, you can crawl back in your hole now (at least for another year).  I especially like RajonRondownski's take:  If the Heat win, it's the "Will of the NBA" and if the Mavs win, they're defying the "Will of the NBA".  Brilliant deductive reasoning.  Keep it coming.  It's halarious.

    SImple explanation.

Recent word is the NBA is being investigated by the government. I understand this will become public information shortly.

Obviously Stern is aware and was forced to play it straight.

Very interesting information.  Cuban has also been very quite lately and not very outspoken like he usually is.  I actually liked it and hope that he continues this way.  They even commented about this on ESPN.

Cuban was not the show last night and somehow he realized that reality. Rick Carlisle and his team deserved the attention and Cuban handed it over to them on their night.

Not sure I can put the word "class" in the same sentence with Mark Cuban. He did make a good decision to keep his comments short and simple.

And LeBron James didn't happen - it's tough to draw phantom calls when you refuse to drive into the painted area for entire second halves

Miami had 15 more FT attempts than Dallas last night.  15.  That game was Miami's for the taking...maybe you didn't watch.  And maybe you didn't witness the kid-glove treatment that Wade and LeFraud received after disrespecting Dirk.  It's like the media was scared to call them out on it.  If they'd been around to do that s*** to Jordan when he had a fever in a playoff game, they would've been ridden out of town.  But not now; they were the media darlings until this morning.  And there's no "conspiracy theory" involved in any of this.  For the record, the Mavs got the benefit of the FTs in the series, 156-148.  Maybe if Miami wasn't filled with a bunch of whining chokers, they might've prevailed.

James will be remembered as one of the greatest choke artists of all time in this league.  Seeing him anywhere near Bill Russell is a disgrace.

Cuban must have pics of Stern in compromising positions............must be nice to wield such power......

Seriously though Cuban was wise to keep quiet, not complain about refs (and show their errored calls on the big screen). He controlled himself and let the team control their destiny.

(Even though Stern and ESPN really wanted the Miami golden boys to win)

Better team won - better team ALWAYS wins.  But HOME TEAM is given every break.  DAL outshoots MIA every game at the FT line, until last night.  First 4 plays of the 4th Q, all fouls on MIA.  5 fouls on DAL with about 9 mins to go.  Can't help it if MIA can't make FT's!

Congrats to DAL, they were clearly the best team!  Just like last year the Lakers were the best team, 2009 Lakers were the best team, and 2008 WE were the best team.

31-18 ftas. If it wasn't for video evidence that showed undoubtedly every sheat player left the bench and chalmers was a 3rd guy in Sperm had to call off the refs. After last years debacle another ref induced champ would have been a death knell for the nba. Sterns time has passed,he needs to step down for the good of the league

Yes, I stand corrected.  In Game 1, DAL outshot the Heat 32 - 26, in a game won by the Heat.  In Game 2, when DAL won................24-21 Heat!
In Game 6, also at home, MIA outshot the Mavs 33-18.  So, the Home Team is given every opportunity to win, when they can't do it by themselves.  Last year, Game 7  37-17 Lakers!

You just love to argue don't you? No matter how foolish you look.

Who ever said Stern was enamored with the Heat? Nobody. We simply stated the obvious: That there is a corruption issue in the NBA. Take your strawman and stick it.

Miami shot almost twice as many free throws as Dallas And I'm sure Wade was allowed to travel all over the court as usual.

It's not the refs fault Miami couldn't hit a free throw. It's not like they can go shoot the free throws for them. There's only so much they can do.

And nobody claimed Dallas was going to get cheated like they did in 06. We just said it was a possibility given the corruption issues that are obvious to anyone with a brain.

Actually there is WAY plenty that corrupt officials can do to help the Heat with missed FTs.

Call the all too obvious lane violations... and give the FT shooter another chance... and another... and another until the desired outcome is achieved.

Why don't you check some of the old threads declaring that the Mavs have to beat the Heat and Stern to get the title before you call someone a fool, moron.

Maybe in game 6 but what about the other 5 games Einstein, when the Mavs held a FT advantage in 4 of those games.  Did you forget that, or you simply ignored it because it doesn't fit your lame argument?

Well they wanted to give it to the Fakers but the Mavs beat them so handily it was easy for the Mavs.  The refs tried to give the heat the breaks last nite but they couldn't hit a free throw.  At one point it was a huge advantage for the Heat in the FT department.  I saw many bad calls in the Heat favor.  Chalmers got by with a obvious pushoff that the whole world saw but 3 officials somehow missed.  The three point play for chalmers when the game was in the balance was also bogus.  Dirk couldn't get a free throw.  The better TEAM won.

You really are an argumentitive tool, aren't you?

If the refs did stuff like that, it would be obvious, even to mindless sheep like you that the game was rigged.  The NBA doesn't care about people that can think for themselves. Because they know that morons will continue to watch the product and pay money, good money, to watch the games and buy merchandise.

Welcome to puddin's magical fantasy world where the NBA officiating is neither rigged or massively incompetent. The same heady place where Rondo is a fourth string point guard.

I know you people are in denial. And that can be a powerful psychological force. One that even logic and reason are unable to counter. But have any of you ever wondered why there aren't similar outcries about officiating in the other three major sports? Of course not. That would be far too rational.
