You thought Miami was in a slump?

At least the Heat give max energy night in night out, even if the results aren't what they're looking for.  The lethargy and the complacency that the C's have for subpar teams is not a recent phenomenon.  This goes back to now at least the span of 2 seasons.  C's showing their age.  KG putting up 18 footers instead of pounding it inside.  Ray taking only 11 shots and only hitting 2.  Against the lesser teams, the big 4 get lazy, take lazy jump shots, won't defend with passion, and each expects the other All-Stars on the team to take over.

Bulls won again.  Just when you thought we had a little breathing room, that evaporated in a less than a week and against the Clippers and 76ers no less.

We better not be hobbling like this into the playoffs.  We might be facing an "eipc" 7 game series against the 8th or 7th or 6th seed, like we did two years ago.  The C's won't have the energy or the legs to go through that road, they need quick finishes to early rounds.   Imagine if we lost in the 1st round?  Then whether justified or not, Ainge will get roasted.

Great post.  If we don't make it to the finals this year, Danny will get blamed for this.  When all of these trades happened, I said that Danny will get the blame for this if we don't advance in the playoffs this year.  The Celtics definitely lost many games this year to inferior teams earlier in the season.  This is just unacceptable for an elite caliber team.   Right now they are losing these games because of fatigue.   It is never good to  criticize another team because it usually results in your team losing.

It is hard to throw stones when you live in a glass house.  I was happy when the heat lost because it gave us separation.  It was really the young bulls who were the real threat.  I dont like the idea of "turning it on when the playoffs come" but I do feel the new players need to show their worth.
