caafootball.fanhouse.com has it as the third best bowl, doesn't have Fiesta in the Top 15.

That being said, I would rather play in the Fiesta.

Isn't it a ranking of how competitive Rivals thinking the bowls are.  I think evey team would pick the BCS bowl over the Kraft

You should always want to be in a BCS bowl. However in this particular case winning a lousy conference gets a decent team to a bowl. Having been to both bowls and both cities I'd much rather spend a weekend in beautiful San Fran than the valley. Culture is better, wine, golf, city, theater etc.

When BC can beat Vtech, Miami, Florida State in the same year and beat one of those three teams again in the ACC Championship then there will be better bowling.

I am with you in that I would rather play in the Fiesta.

That being said, the ACC shares revenue from bowls (not sure what the Big East does) so financially, it doesn't matter.

The bowl payout certainly does matter.  Wouldn't you want to split $17,000,000 among 12 colleges than $750,000?

But the ACC gets to split the money from the Orange and the Chick Fil A.

The Big East actually splits as well, so there really isn't going to be that much difference. In fact you can google: "Despite large BC payout, UCONN will lose money at Fiesta Bowl".

Again, the prestige is much higher in the Fiesta.  With splitting what the Big East schools and ACC school get will be about the same.

Most people think that Oklahoma will kill UCONN while the BC-Nevada game could be close. Who knows? That's why they play the games.

Nevada will be the highest ranked bowl opponent for BC in years and the game will be in January. If you are a BC fan you can't be too disapointed.

BC football is an enbarassment in the ACC which is very weak in Football! Stanford will clock their #1 team VT with Andrew Luck and as for BC why go to SF and be humiliated; the BC trolls can not win beyond the Alumni Band Box!

BC will get clocked and look for more empty metal seats as the Nation will be exhausted from the 32 Bowl games before this clunker comes up, a real Yawn'er ... BC trolls & band will be at home working part time to pay the steep tuition $$$ and not contributing to the Gene DeFillipio ACC who cares fund!

Re: BC Bowl Better Than UCONN's

Let's look at what almost happened from a BC perspective.  The ACC had eight spots linked to bowl games.  BC was ranked ninth out of eight.  The only way that they received a bowl bid was because the Pac-10 agreement could not be fulfilled with the proper number of teams.  Oregon had a prior appointment.  That could have actually put BC "out in the cold" like Temple.     From a respect point-of-view, BC could have been runner-up in the ACC and still had the same rank profile for bowl games.    Obviously, this should be fixed and should be a top priority for the BC people.  They need to evaluate just why this is so and do something to fix it.    Chase Rettig is from California.  Christian Suntrup is from St. Louis, 3 star qb recruit.  They need to build on this and develop a national image just like ND.  Since they are one of two Catholic college playing football D1 (maybe Villanova will add, ND is questionably Catholic), they could do a lot more in marketing their potential.

Can we all say 1993 and the big field goal?  In 1992, it was 54-7 when Lou Lou ran up the score.  BC ran off six in a row and should have won last year.  There is no doubt that Kelly has ND "pumping" while BC is regressing under Spaziani.

4 posts from an nd fan in a BC thread within 20 minutes on Christmas Eve- what a sad life.

And shouldn't you be more concerned about the nd administration covering up for a football player rapist, and dodging responsibilty in the death of one of its own students at a football practice?

How can any ND fan bash any other school for anything?  I mean, ND is over-ranked every year, every year they, for lack of a better word, blows.  Yet they go to a bowl that is 3 spots better and get killed.

As I said when he was hired, the title of all the atricles about Kelly being hired as ND's new coach should have been "Notre Dame hires Kelly as the coach they will fire 3 years from now"

Dont worry boys - NDclown and 82ndlikesithard will of course be heading to watch their "great" uconn team get smacked.  You guys are going right?  I mean you can take a few days off the night shift right?

With uconn only selling 4000 tickets so far there should be some great discounts available.   Of course, we could all raise some money so they can watch the slaughter in person - call it poetic justice.

Since their predictions are always spot on (wasnt it NDclown calling for his favorite irish to make the frozen four last year?) - how about given us your prediction for the score?
