    Tranquill's replacement?

So, Tranquill retired from BC's position as football offensive coordinator almost a month ago. Haven't heard or seen anything that tells where they are going with the replacement. Spring football (Once we get rid of the snow) is right over the horizon. BC has a new QB and loads of 2nd year guys on the line as well as a raw corps of receivers. You would think someone would already be putting together an offensive plan to make the best of the talent on board. Any rumors out there?

I agree that Spaz should be giving this a priority. I did see that BC interviewed a former Cornell and Buffalo head coach from the 90's and early 2000's - Hmmm, for some reason this reminds me a lot of Tranquil.  With BCs young talent, I see no reason why they shouldn't be able to pick up a top notch OC; but so far I haven't seen any sure bet names come forward.

    Re: Tranquill's replacement?

Who cares about the offensive coordinator at BC you don't need one with the cup cakes BC schedules in the ACC. With CFU, and UMASS coming to the Heights BC may hire some joe puck out of Malden Catholic as it would not make any difference! VT rules the ACC for years to come and that's Beamer ball not patsy BC ball!

    Re: Tranquill's replacement?

On the heels of an Atlantic Division title and Chick-fil-A Bowl win over South Carolina, Florida State has lured what is expected to be the top recruiting class in the country -- all this just one season into Fisher's tenure as a head coach. The staff inked more players from the ESPNU 150 list (12) than defending national champion Auburn (seven). It's a sign of change and rapid progress under the new staff, and increases the possibility of a speedy return among college football's elite.

BC bridemaids again .... says it all big tough guys, all mouth as the Big Bad ACC Basketball team...

The rumor is they already have their OC, they are waiting until signing day to say who for some reason.  To those in the know for recruiting, they said it makes sense.

    Re: Tranquill's replacement?

Boston College Football Coach Frank Spaziani has named Kevin Rogers, quarterbacks coach of the Minnesota Vikings for the past five seasons, offensive coordinator. Rogers replaces Gary Tranquill, who recently announced his retirement.

Looks like a good call, Jags as an Assistant, and a QB specialist  too. BC D  + top running game in the conference  + a QB. Looks like a decent season.
