[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Urban Meyer ON ESPN This AM: ARE YOU MAKING PROGESS? HEY SPAZOO? : Not for nothing, but BC was #2 in the country under Gene D. You and SJS need to calm down and let the process play out. You both are acting like they stole your first born. Relax....

Exactly. BC was #2 with Coach O'Brien's program, until Jagodzinski ruined things. Jagodzinski then made this year's upperclassmen burn an extra week in 2007 AND 2008 getting beaten up on the Scout Team before losing to Virginia Tech. Time that could have been spent recovering from tough true/redshirt freshmen seasons. Time Jagodzinski could have used to recruit players, if indeed he actually CARED about recruiting. You don't get that time back. Those muscle fibers used up four years ago don't just recover. And now you pay the price.
Coach Spaziani put together a whale of a game plan, and thoroughly outcoached Jimbo Fisher. But Jimbo has better players because Jagodzinski completely ignored recruiting. And now BC is paying the price.
Yet with a barren cupboard against Top-5 recruiting talent, Coach Spaziani won the game from the 5:23 mark of the 2nd quarter onward. In other words, Spaziani won the majority of the minutes in this football game!!!
You have to give credit to Coach Spaziani for a TD at the end of the half after his brilliant move to insert Bordner. He recognized his offensive linemen were absolute losers and forgot the coaches' directions, so he put in a mobile quarterback. The only reason BC didn't officially score a touchdown was that Finch fumbled. That's the player's fault.
Then, Coach Spaziani put together another TD drive at the start of the 2nd half to go up 14-0. FSU put together a couple of scores in garbage time, but Coach Spaziani schooled Jimbo Fisher and beat top-tier FSU 14-10 over the last 35 minutes of the game. Gut-check time, if you will.
So the young talent fails and puts BC in a whole. But Coach Spaziani didn't quit. He never does. He stepped up and showed us why GDF installed him.
14-10 over 35 minutes against FLORIDA STATE, baby. 14-10.
