I'm all for In BB we trust. However, if BB doesn't like going through the agent (bad business) to deal for Peppers, then he takes a huge chance on losing him. If Peppers signs the tender, then the Panthers are in the driver's seat and can trade him anywhere they want, just like the Pats did with Cassel. Pepper's agent, according to the Karen G (Herald) article, hasn't had any contact with BB or anyone else in the organization. If BB really is interested, I would think that he would be working with the agent to make sure another team doesn't put a better offer on the table. Maybe BB isn't interested after all.
